The Cambridges News and Updates ( Prince William, Kate Middleton, George, Charlotte and Louis)

Honestly I'd rather people not educated or considered experts in their field stop pontificating about any new topic they are currently passionate about. Leave it to the experts who have earned the right to speak about certain topics. We know Kate isn't qualified to speak on any number of topics and plenty of people are glad she doesn't and therefore have no issues with her "work".

Exactly. She advocates for little children’s mental health and other causes for little kids - and that’s clearly her element. She’s quiet, soft spoken and shy. She seems to be devoted to her children which makes her very likeable.

She is playing a very long game which includes, amongst other things, ensuring that the next heir to the throne and his siblings have the emotional stability and guidance to lead stable and fulfilling lives.

She is much liked by the British public and I assume the courtiers and staff like her too because she clearly got a promotion this year.

She is much liked by the older half of the British public. Same with the rest of the BRF. Broken down by age, she is less popular with younger Britons.

She has an approval rating of 75%, so she is liked and respected by the public at large. The RF has always been more popular with older and more conservative Brits, it’s a Traditional Institution. Up to her and her husband to evolve and build a legacy for themselves WHEN it’s their turn. So far it’s been Philipp and Elizabeth’s Monarchy and legacy.

She is not shy. A person that likes flashing people is not shy.

The whole shy and demure thing is a schtick. She's well known as a cutthroat social climber. That's how she and her entire family have made it to the place they're in now. They're like the white, posh Kardashians of the UK.

You mean she is also a better actress than Meghan? The Duchess really is the golden girl, is there anything she can’t do?

She's raising the heir to the throne.

Diana didn't really even try to do that job. Will knows that firsthand, and he wants Kate to actually be a mother.

The current Queen certainly didn't mother her children...and let's just say that didn't end well.

Kate works enough. As we emerge from the pandemic in a year and her kids are little older, I'm sure we will see more of Kate.

Plus, I'm sure there is a bit of a sensitivity with Will not wanting his more interesting young family to outshine his father--who has preparing his entire life for a job he hasn't actually gotten yet. My sense is Will and Charles are a bit of team: let Dad have his time, do what he's asked, and enjoy his family while he can.

What will the excuse be when this loving super mom ships her preteens off to boarding school?

+1

She can’t keep having babies or claiming she’s watching her kids when they aren’t there! Even now she has a gazillion nannies and maids and servants

Your jealousy is unattractive. Maybe you should get a job so you have less time to worry about thins that have nothing to do with you. What value do you add to society?

It’s not jealousy. It’s the principle. She has to work.

DP: And her work, which includes raising her kids, calling attention to British fashion, keeping William happy, and supporting the monarchy appears to be pleasing the people that she needs to please. Surely a forum that recognizes the essential work done by homemakers can recognize and even applaud this.
tldr: Kate really doesn’t need to satisfy some “principle” upheld by an anonymous poster on a US-based forum. She really doesn’t.

She is as much a homemaker as Michelle Obama was a homemaker when she was First Lady. She performs similar duties and quite well, despite starting a family and raising very young children.

Are you a raging misogynist or something? What is your deal with obsessing over Kate's work schedule? Or are you one of the harpies who participates in all the SAHM vs WOHM debates on here who just can't abide by the fact that people's lives are different? In the real world, nobody cares much about how Kate spends her time.

DP - it’s a raging misogynist to ask what she does all day?

The Queen of the Netherlands leads IMF negotiations.

The Queen of Jordan chairs the World Humanitarian Forum summit.

The Queen of Spain is a United Nations Ambassador.

All of this on top of their extraordinarily busy engagement schedules within their respective countries. And being mothers.

What does Kate DO all day?

Why are you so jealous of Kate? She is no different from millions of very rich women who spend their time as they please. You just look foolish dripping with envy. And are you really too dumb to know the difference in position between Kate and an actual Queen?

Can you answer a question without constantly assuming jealousy?

The American public asked where Melania was all day when she disappeared for months at a time.

Turns out the answer was - getting plastic surgery and re-negotiating her pre-nup. For four years.

You’re comparing Melania to Kate? Trumpkins are delusional.

Tall, beautiful, useless, only appears on the red carpet and can't string two words together. What's delusional about that?

And yet she reduces you to a quivering mass of envy.

Why don’t you send your demands to the Queen?
