Too bad her sister-in-law didn’t get that memo.

She's raising the heir to the throne.

Diana didn't really even try to do that job. Will knows that firsthand, and he wants Kate to actually be a mother.

The current Queen certainly didn't mother her children...and let's just say that didn't end well.

Kate works enough. As we emerge from the pandemic in a year and her kids are little older, I'm sure we will see more of Kate.

Plus, I'm sure there is a bit of a sensitivity with Will not wanting his more interesting young family to outshine his father--who has preparing his entire life for a job he hasn't actually gotten yet. My sense is Will and Charles are a bit of team: let Dad have his time, do what he's asked, and enjoy his family while he can.

What will the excuse be when this loving super mom ships her preteens off to boarding school?

+1

She can’t keep having babies or claiming she’s watching her kids when they aren’t there! Even now she has a gazillion nannies and maids and servants

Your jealousy is unattractive. Maybe you should get a job so you have less time to worry about thins that have nothing to do with you. What value do you add to society?

It’s not jealousy. It’s the principle. She has to work.

DP: And her work, which includes raising her kids, calling attention to British fashion, keeping William happy, and supporting the monarchy appears to be pleasing the people that she needs to please. Surely a forum that recognizes the essential work done by homemakers can recognize and even applaud this.
tldr: Kate really doesn’t need to satisfy some “principle” upheld by an anonymous poster on a US-based forum. She really doesn’t.

She is as much a homemaker as Michelle Obama was a homemaker when she was First Lady. She performs similar duties and quite well, despite starting a family and raising very young children.

Um, perhaps. I’m not sure why you feel the need to compare what a Harvard trained lawyer with multiple years of executive experience brought to her roles and her projects with Kate’s efforts. As I said, I’m sure Kate does her duties quite well. Whether or not they’re similar is an issue I’d rather sidestep. There really is no need to compare or to pit women against each other in order to note that someone is doing a decent job.

Exactly. She advocates for little children’s mental health and other causes for little kids - and that’s clearly her element. She’s quiet, soft spoken and shy. She seems to be devoted to her children which makes her very likeable.

She is not shy. A person that likes flashing people is not shy.

The whole shy and demure thing is a schtick. She's well known as a cutthroat social climber. That's how she and her entire family have made it to the place they're in now. They're like the white, posh Kardashians of the UK.

You mean she is also a better actress than Meghan? The Duchess really is the golden girl, is there anything she can’t do?

Not trashing her family on Oprah for her personal monetary gain, for starters.

It does not matter how well educated or experienced Michelle Obama was, her duties included plotting vegetable gardens with youth, decorating the White House for Christmas, meeting with military families, coordinating state dinners. That was the job! No one called her a homemaker.

Kate Middleton is not even the monarch’s spouse, she is the next next’s spouse. She does plenty, she is in the news every week meeting with people and organizations across the UK.

Tell all the others in the UK who feel the same. Kate is just lazy and happy spending millions on frivolous items without putting in the time and effort.

You can't please everybody all the time. Why does Kate need to pander to the minority who disapprove? How lucky for Kate to be lazy and living in the lap of luxury. Do you understand how humans operate?

Meh. You go tell them. Maybe join the I hate Kate club. She doesn’t seem lazy to me and my opinion is just as valid or invalid as yours. You aren’t changing anyone’s mind with your crazy sounding tirades.

It's a good gig if you can get it! And if you can't, I guess you can suck lemons as you toil away at your meaningless job living paycheck to paycheck, while occasionally writing anonymous screeds against British Royals who have a better life, shaking your fist at the unjustness of it all. I wonder how old some people have to be before they realize life isn't fair.

Wow. Fascinating to get a sneak peek into the mindset of royalists. Can't believe people believe this kind of thing so ardently in the 21st century.

No, you just fundamentally don't understand that the British people don't really care about "the work". And it's amusing to think that Kate needs to putting in long hours to show up and cut ribbons just so people with too much time on their hands feel better about their miserable lives. If the royal family was dissolved tomorrow, Kate would still be wealthy and live a life of leisure. It really doesn't even matter. But keep getting upset and jealous over these things. It's amusing.

Completely incorrect. Everyone cares about whether the Royals do their own part
