That NBC story is gut wrenching. I can't even imagine what hearing these details is like for the families of the 2 victims.

I have had the same questions. If they thought Ryan was still a threat even after being shot/ blinded, why did they take the time for her to go to the safe get the code to open the safe, retrieve the gun and shoot it instead of him just shooting again. It just doesn’t make sense.

I'm starting to think that Banfield set this up for Magalhes to carry out on her own, but on the morning of she chickened out and that's why you have this string of events that don't make sense.

I think this poster is onto something. The AP was supposed to do it. She chickened out. Is it possible the first shot was from her and it somewhat missed? Would BB have missed at such close range? Bet he shot second. And that explains the asking her to get the gun and shoot problem. Never happened. But they had to explain how a gun got in her hand.

He could say the crazy AP was jealous and wanted his wife dead. And that anything she says can’t be trusted. Being from another country and obsessed with him etc.

One question. The groaning was from the second 911 call not first correct? Someone above suggested first but I think that is wrong.

So no one has been charged in her stabbing. There have been no hearings re: that case. So, if it came up in autopsy would not have been made public yet. AP has been charged re: JR and all hearings have focused on his being lured to home and his being shot.

It makes no sense to me whatsoever that he shot Ryan and then asked the AP to go get a different gun to shoot Ryan again. Is he Barney Fife, only keeping one bullet in his gun? Or did they have a pact that they would both take a shot in order to share the thrill?

This story is so awful. I bet when the trial happens it will come out that they set up Ryan to bring a knife by having ‘Christine’ express in ‘her’ online postings that it was her kink to be raped at knifepoint.

Is Virginia a cameras in the courtroom state? I want to watch the trials on Court TV.

One kill each makes the most sense to me. And he did not want her to use his job issued gun, so bought another.

Curious about where the knife went if the EMT testified that did not see it. Also where it came from, of course. It sounds like she was just stabbed in the neck? Maybe both because lethal and likely to prevent her from communicating before her death. The thought of her hearing all this and lingering until the hospital makes me sick. Or sicker.

Let's be clear- she was medically "alive" but that doesn't mean she was conscious.

The idea of them hanging photos in the master bedroom and swanning off to the Big Apple after doing this is demonic. That poor grieving child. None of this had to happen.

AP was into his middle class lifestyle and divorce would have really cut into that. I wonder how much of this was him wanting to see if he could get away with it? I hope he won't, but he just may. Only 2 people know who did the stabbing who are alive to talk. Easy enough to put the knife in JR's hand and stage the scene while BB waited to play "hero" for the EMTs.

Don't they say that hearing is one of the last senses to go? They encourage you to speak to the dying in hospice. I hope she could not hear any of this.

Re: drugging, I could also see them putting some Benedryl in the kid's juice box or something to keep her in the AP suite and compliant.
