Yes, she posted. All of them are there in CO. 2 younger ones did school from there.

She’s in CO with her two older kids and the two adopted ones are virtual schooling back in Texas. Because there’s no internet in Colorado.

1) Are they with their Dad? If yes, then what happened couldn’t have been bad enough that he isn’t trusted with/lost custody or
2) They’re with family and Dad really has up and left.

People can be terrible and even abusive husbands and still, at least superficially, be "good enough" fathers not to lose custody - at least initially.

Even in my small and most definitely not famous universe of friends, I'm a bit skeptical of the men and women who are constantly parading their relationships and families like trophies to be admired. It's one thing to take a pic of your family. It's another to repeatedly use your family as props in your "lifestyle blog/IG".

Yes, the mom of one my kids friends parades all her kids and her husband around on Facebook, her blog, IG and even Tiktok sometimes/ She has posted long soliloquy to her husband praising him as a father and spouse with gorgeous photos of them. I know this because she told me to check out her social media and then when i didn't comment she asked why so I started commenting and liking. Everyone is on her social media...including kid's teachers, the principal, like people who should not be that involved in her life all telling her how fabulous she is and how hot and sexy and she and her husband are together. Well just like that he disappeared from everything. No mention of him on father's day. All photos are gone. Her oldest is helping he drive the others around. Made me sad and freaked out because one day she is posting love shots, the next day...he never existed.

Pure speculation — but church leaders liked his IG post so we can assume that something egregious with them is probably off the table.

The tone seems like he failed at some sort of sobriety. If so, he has my empathy, sober living is hard and this evangelical wine mom culture makes drinking a personality trait. If he has a disease and is being cast off by his family, that would break anyone.

But doesn’t explain the kids all turning against him and changing their names. I’m thinking it is an affair and some sort of addiction.

Oh, that's interesting. I think we can rule out an affair with someone within their church then. Like a previous poster said, church members love to gossip about the salacious, so a relationship like that wouldn't stay quiet long.

I wonder if he told Jen he wanted to separate, and she struck first by filing to have the upper hand? It still seems out of character for her though, not to really fight for her marriage.

Some sort of abuse towards one of their kids? I can see her filing in a snap.
