Dying to know who on our team is in or out. Do i have to wait for the kids to start texting or will the team managers know.

I'm still waiting for my unanswered questions to get answered. Five days ago now already?

Personally, I think we should pull out of CCL and just play all of our teams in NCSL while we do this academy thing. If we're going to have such a big change in the program, it should be across the board.

Did anybody else see the table position of our CCL teams that was posted? Is anybody else noticing how many players left and that most were red players? Our CCL teams, for the most part, left. Our CCL2 and NCSL teams stayed, so let's just be CCL2 and/or NCSL. There's nothing wrong with that.

This is a pretty sound idea. The red teams will end up getting Div 1 anyways, and the white teams will be somewhere where they currently are. Are there any honest objections to this? This would also definitely save us money, as no teams would be in CCL. Every team in NCSL, still play the same tournaments and showcases. Why aren't we doing this?

I can tell you that over this past winter our DDs NCSL team was approached by the LMVSC CCL team in her age group and asked if we wanted their CCL spot for the Spring because the team could not compete. Our team did not make the switch. At least someone at LMVSC saw what was happening and tried to make a change.

Wait wait WHAT!? What age group was this? Don't need to know your club, but I'm really curious about the age group.

07. When I heard I looked up the team. In 14th out Of 16 teams. 0-5-1 record In CCL 1

The 07 girls from lmvsc didn't compete in ccl this past year. As previously stated in this thread, they were in ncsl. It's pretty common place for clubs to look for teams to fill "holes" in ccl.

It’s not that common (let alone the 6 we had)—most clubs have all ages assigned. Especially in northern VA. I think only Ellicott has similar problems and they are way out in Maryland.

Wow. Why aren’t we in NCSL again? Cause with price increases and trips to VA Beach, Roanoke, and Charlottesville with no subs (usually a loss), I’m not sure we should be in CCL.

And yes, hopefully cheaper to reduce those fees.

Offers for LMVSC? Or another club?

It took YEARS to get into CCL and they are not about to just throw it away with given time Lmvsc can be where it use to be but it takes time. The younger kids they have now will be good and will form new red teams
For now whoever is red just needs to take the punches and keep going forward

If not for COVID, there would one team with a winning record. Why are we in CCL? Let’s ease up the travel burden and gas/hotel costs.

There’s no point in trying. It’ll just end up being another year of over 2k gone.

Just because they have hit a tough time it does not mean that they can’t back to where they were. Having ccl could possibly attract talent. Going ncsl only will not.

So you weren’t at the townhall? When did “attract talent” become part of the community? Why do we need to attract talent when this academy is supposed to do as well as European clubs which was alluded for? Maybe it’s so they can overcharge us.

All clubs are community clubs but some talent has always come over from nearby areas. Example, a kid on another club's top team not getting enough playing time wanting a different place to play. My friend's DS joined exactly for that same reason. It happens everywhere.

Hold up, if all clubs are community clubs, why was community the biggest part about the presentation?

So basically, screw the kids that are still in the Club, let's keep CCL and hopefully attract some real talent then.

Didn't hear that during the "#LMVSCfamily" portion but sure feels like that sentiment coming from red team parents.
