When domestic violence perpetrators choke (strangle) their victims, not only is this felonious assault, but it may be an attempted homicide. Strangulation is an ultimate form of power and control, where the batterer can demonstrate control over the victim’s next breath; having devastating psychological effects or a potentially fatal outcome.
Sober and conscious victims of strangulation will first feel terror and severe pain. If strangulation persists, unconsciousness will follow. Before lapsing into unconsciousness, a strangulation victim will usually resist violently, often producing injuries of their own neck in an effort to claw off the assailant, and frequently also producing injury on the face or hands of their assailant. These defensive injuries may not be present if the victim is physically or chemically restrained before the assault. ...

What's your point? That her 5 year old intentionally strangled her? That's not even close to being able to be determined based on this information.

My point is that OP is making the whole thing up to cover up something else.

The detail that seems the most suspicious to me is that OP says she was wearing an infinity scarf.

Yup. That detail is what made me think troll.

And also the OP answering questions so quickly like she was always checking for posts. That shows someone was bored and just decided to start some crap thread to entertain themselves.

Why is that detail the thing?

- someone who loves infinity scarves and is confused

I have no issue with infinity scarves, but it’s been years since I saw anyone wearing one.

Somebody must be wearing them as they were selling in stores at Christmas. In fact I bought two to give as gifts.

If your child almost strangled you, would you just say he pulled my scarf, or would you say he pulled my "insert brand name here" scarf. It is the too much attention to detail that made me think troll.

If you were out long enough to all this to have occurred, you should have been seen by a doctor. Simply passing out from restricted blood flow is a quick recovery once that blood flow starts back up. sounds like you were passed out for several minutes.

I also don't buy this story

Omg. Infinity scarf means it's connected to itself. It's not a brand name! Lmfao!
I would think OP added that detail sonitbwas understood how pulling the scarf resulted in strangulation. If she just said "scarf" there would be 25 idiots asking why the scarf didn't just pull off the other side.

Is this even real???

Anonymous wrote:Op here. So I told my husband about what happened (after kids went to sleep), and he was more concerned about me. My 8yo actually pleaded with me NOT to tell my husband. I AM concerned about her, I think after she realized the seriousness of what had happened, she was traumatized and very upset with herself that she had royally messed up.

You waited hours, until the night time, to tell your husband about this?? Huh?? That's the part that makes this most implausible to me. You were unconscious for what you thought was 5 whole minutes and didn't immediately call your husband and tell him to come home in the event you were having a broader medical problem? I mean, I get that you were concerned about your children's reactions, but what about YOUR OWN reaction to what happened to yourself??

If this story is true, you have really odd family dynamics in your household.

Jeff has already confirmed that the OP is NOT a troll.b
He said based on her other post (which are consistent with this one) she seems to be a really overwhelmed parent of young children.

Ha! I was just thinking the real mystery here is why anyone is still wearing an infinity scarf. Those went out 5 years ago.

When I was in third grade, a boy on the playground during recess at school had some sort of aneurysm and fell over and died. The other kids thought he was joking and pulled him around for a bit before the teachers realized what was going on. Kids don't always register a medical emergency for what it is. I would assume they were trying to wake you up in a very immature way - at least before I sought a diagnosis of psychopathy.
