Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS)
Just to be clear, the above pp is not the poster who asked ‘are you black?...”. I asked that and this is not my response. |
| OMG. This thread needs to end. |
| Did Spike Lee start this thread? Any forensic evidence that OP is posting from the Troll Farm? |
You clearly don’t know anything about Spike Lee. |
| I seriously doubt these are real black people posting to this thread, almost like they are writing in character intentionally. |
YAAAASSSSSSS! |
+1 I’m AA and I agree. |
I do know that he's a little black man who is angry and couldn't beat his way out of a wet paper bag. |
Just because someone has a differing opinion doesn't mean that we aren't real. As a conservative AA, I encounter this type of marginalization all the time. Intolerance of differing opinions is a sickness. |
+1 Its fine to disagree but there is a small handful of posters who think that anything which doesn't fit their narrative is a troll and must be lying. Try living in SS and posting anything negative about your experience. You will be accused of being from VA, a W school or whatever. |
Hi, Clarence! |
Posting something negative about your personal experience of life in SS is NOT the same as claiming systemic racism no longer exists and anyone who claims it does has a chip on their soldier. |
Way to prove his/her point.... |
I don't believe the PP said systematic racism no longer exists, they simply said they no longer allow it to rule their lives. For instance, when someone doesn't hold the door open for you, it could be perceived in different ways: 1. The person must not have realize you were there. 2. The person is just an inconsiderate a-hole 3. The person must be a racist. A person can choose to assume any of the 3 but, 99% of the time, you don't know for sure. The AA who chooses to assume #1 is going to be called a Racism Denier by those on this board. |
Neither you nor PP have no idea what systemic racism means. Joe hates black people and won’t hold the door for me has what a 10 sec miniscule impact and shouldn’t take up anyone’s mental real estate. Joe calling me a n*gger as he walks by. I’m inclined to not let that ruin my day. Those are NOT systemic racism. Joe and others work to block AA young people from accessing educational or career opportunities they are qualified for. This has an impact whether or not you ever see or hear Joe express racism. Systemic racism is not personal bigotry or even acts of individual or mob violence. It is how bias and injustice are embedded in processes and institutions in our society. If no one ever utters the n word again, systemic racism will still exist. |
