So was that early pitch from Whitney? Explains why the show was so focused on the men for the first few seasons.

He’s always been a producer for the show.

I know. That's why I asked if that clip was the pitch. He clearly favored the guys' "storylines" over the women's.

So he wanted a bro-show. That would have gotten old fast. Even the current show is stale, but a show about womanizing "gentleman" wouldn't have made it past season 1.

Actually, that WAS Season Charm in Season 1. It was novel and a bit refreshing at the time because nearly every other Bravo show was female-focused. The regular cast in Season 1 consisted of Thomas, Shep, Whitney, and Craig. Cameran was there to narrate and interact a bit, and then there was that weird Jenna girl. The storylines were heavily focused on the guys. It was a streak of lightning they didn’t expect when Kathryn charged into the story and changed the direction of the show.

Cannot handle Shep another minute, what a braggart smug SOB. He is so unlikable.

Kathryn seems scarily unstable. I just feel vert sad for her, she is desperately reaching for something but even she does not seem to know what. She is a very sad person.

Chelsea seems the most grounded, I really like her. Cameron used to be a fave but her constant talk about motherhood and basically how she is not happy being a mom just does not sit right with me. The others are fine, I like Austin and his gf, he seems like a nice guy as does Craig.

If Patricia won't be on, I will not be tuning in.

Thomas Ravenel was sentenced to 30 days and fined $500 for third degree sexual assault. He pleaded guilty this morning.

My guess is that the evidence wasn't rock solid bc that's such a tiny punishment.

My guess is he wouldn't have entered a guilty plea if the evidence had been weak. My guess is more along the lines that he is scion of an old, well-connected Charleston family and had excellent lawyers.

Wow. This is gross as hell and disturbing.

Disagree. It was a slap on the wrist compared to what could have happened. There was no rape kit done. He could have been convicted but also not. He pled guilty to eliminate much worse repercussions.

I liked it much better last season when the girls became good friends. I think they became good friends because Cameron was out of the picture because she was pregnant and having a new baby. I think once Cameron came back more this year she ruined the dynamic and the girls weren’t friends as much with Katherine.

It was a 30 day suspended sentence. He will see no jail time.
