Let's put it this way. You put the East Coast GDA with the East Coast ECNL in the same division and they all play each other, the GDA will make up the lion's share of the top teams. Even MU at 04 and 05 would finish top half of the MA ECNL. Arlington would be competing to win the MA ECNL in likely every age group. And FCV would absolutely dominate every age group in the MA ECNL (McLean U18/19 only real competition). Repeat this scenario in every region in the country and then you will see why the GDA is much stronger than the ECNL overall. It is closer at the older ages.

Go sit down. MU would be a doormat in EDP.

As opposed to the doormats in the the CCL (oops, meant ECNL) like Loudoun? McLean in multiple age group. And BRYC in others. VDA is a legit club in several age groups but no better than Arlington across the board. So when the best local ECNL teams would be middle to bottom of the pack in the MA GDA division, and the local GDA teams would be at the top of the MA ECNL division, you want to argue that the ECNL can hold a cancel to the GDA? LMAO.

No. Playing PDA is not a regular season occurrence. You are still left with a weak region still trying to hang your hat on what clubs are in your league when in fact you rarely if ever get a chance to play against them.

The best team is very good. The others are playing CCL teams in order to qualify for nationals. McLean 04, 05, 06, 07 would all finish near bottom of GDA MA. And there is no argument to that.
