Here is what you fail to understand (or you do understand it, but refuse to admit it.... so you are either ignorant or obstinate, your choice).

Most taxpayers received more money back on their monthly pay. So, naturally, their refund could be less. This is true for my family. We had approximately $400 more each month AND this year we get a refund.... we haven't had a refund for years.

And your tax cut still hasn't helped the gdp. It certainly isn't helping the national debt.

We don't have a revenue problem, we have a spending problem.
I supposed you were not at all alarmed when Obama doubled our national debt, were you?

Well, considering I used to be a R, yes, I was concerned. But I also understood that we were coming out of a very expensive war, started by a R (Bush), who actually was the reason I left the R party.

Rs these days seem to have turned their backs on their concerns over the national debt.

Just like the cicadas come out every 17 years, the Republicans seem to lose their concern about debt every 8 years. So from 1992 to 2000 deficits were a great threat to the country, then from 2000 to 2008 they didn't matter, then from 2008 to 2016 they were a threat again, and now they don't matter again. I'm trying to figure out what happens every eight years that changes their thinking. Like the cicadas, it may be unknowable.

My taxes went up by $2,000 because of the lack of salt deduction. I'm glad that the people over 500,000 got a tax deduction how great for them. /Sarcasm

Wait till all of the Trump voters with pre-existing conditions lose their health care. The tax shock will seem like small potatoes then!

So.Much.WINNING.

Sound about right, the modern Republican party despises all of us in the Mid-Atlantic/north east/Pacific coast. They specifically targeted the removal of SALT to punish us for existing. The sooner the rest of us figure that out the faster we can vote them out.

Well, those seven million middle class Americans who no longer have to pay that absurd $1,000 fine for not buying healthcare do certainly see the difference

The ACA protects Americans from losing their house in the event of catastrophic illness or accident. That was a new positive protection from Obamacare that didn't exist before. My question is, if you opt out of being insured and save yourself the $1000, are you still protected or can you lost your house?

Hope you don’t mind picking up the slack to pay for their medical emergencies, as you and I will.

Florida already does that, including in the case of bankrupcy, and it costs zero.

Let me ask you, would you want to buy car insurance if premiums were 5 times higher tomorrow?

From same article:

"Most people are getting a tax cut under the law, and people can get a tax cut even if they had a smaller refund. But many taxpayers rely on their refunds for savings or major purchases."

We got $12k MORE then last year! Wohoo!!!!

We owe significantly less than last year, and our income went up. I do and do not feel sorry for the people who thought Trump would help them and are getting an unpleasant surprise.
