OK, then go read the multiple studies published during tax reform, saying that 60-70% people would pay less, 30% the same, 6-10% more. |
Fail. You claimed people ARE PAYING less. As I said earlier, please note that you need to back up “most ARE PAYING less,” not “studies put out by the Republicans years ago while trying to pass their tax bill SAY that most people WILL pay less.” |
This is hysterical. Note that these two articles on CNN were published 18 days apart.

OMG.. 40 whole dollars.. whoo hooo! I can pay for my costco membership now! But seriously, the did say it was early. Still hasn't help the GDP though, or all those farmers who now going banktrupt. MAGA. |
Here is what you fail to understand (or you do understand it, but refuse to admit it.... so you are either ignorant or obstinate, your choice). Most taxpayers received more money back on their monthly pay. So, naturally, their refund could be less. This is true for my family. We had approximately $400 more each month AND this year we get a refund.... we haven't had a refund for years. |
Shhh.......these people do not understand the difference between the refund and the tax bill. They think the refund is free money. |
“Hysterical” is you embarrassing yourself with your ignorance. |
And your tax cut still hasn't helped the gdp. It certainly isn't helping the national debt. |
| The $2500 Americans are saving on their health care costs will make up the difference! |
We don't have a revenue problem, we have a spending problem. I supposed you were not at all alarmed when Obama doubled our national debt, were you? |
Seriously. CNN picture PP - you do realize that average numbers change over a period of 18 days, right? |
Due to the banking implosion? No, that was Bush and Wall St. |
Well, considering I used to be a R, yes, I was concerned. But I also understood that we were coming out of a very expensive war, started by a R (Bush), who actually was the reason I left the R party. Rs these days seem to have turned their backs on their concerns over the national debt. |
and the tax cuts have made it worse. Rs said that it would create jobs and increase wages, thereby making up the difference or the lost in revenue. I think one R called it a "hope and prayer" strategy. They were warned that it would balloon the deficit, but decided they would believe in voodoo economics rather than historical evidence. https://www.thenation.com/article/the-austerity-hawks-are-coming-for-social-security-medicare-and-medicaid/

Welp, I had to withhold more because of the tax law and my refund was less. Please do tell how I paid less in taxes. |
