When will you guys learn that after you keep claiming to have found a "smoking gun" which fizzles out, it is difficult to take the latest revelation seriously or a game changer. If one gave credence to all of your past claims, Trump would have been impeached and removed from office last summer. Remember all the crap about Trump being in a state of dementia and needing to be removed using the 25th Amendment and how about those multiple psychologists who signed a letter saying that Trump was mentally unbalanced?

When wishful thinking takes over from realistic and objective assessment of the facts, it makes it difficult to take some of these conclusions seriously.

I am not a Trump supporter but about the only thing about this latest revelation is that Trump probably lied when he said he did not know about Cohen paying Daniels .......... but Trump lies constantly and it has not affected his support among Republicans - which is all that matters.

It does matter for Mueller and the states who can bring charges. Trump's followers are hopeless, but have faith in Mueller.

What charges? Trump slept with a porn star and then used his attorney to pay her off to keep quiet and Trump then reimbursed the attorney for the amount that was paid?

NP - possible bank fraud, possible Federal election/campaign violation(s), to name a couple.

Yep, bank fraud by Cohen possibly if he falsified the reason for the HELOC which we don't know. Campaign contribution violation? His attorney paid for the NDA and Trump reimbursed him. It was not from the campaign coffers.

That’s a campaign contribution subject to $2700 individual limit that had to be reported.

Once again...Trump can contribute all the money he wants to his campaign, but it still has to be reported in the campaign finance reports (which, of course, it wasn’t). And this expenditure was clearly campaign-related.

It was a campaign finance reporting violation— and a serious one at that, since hiding it was to cover up facts that the public would want to know.

Once again, it was not simply a unreported contribution by Trump to his own campaign, despite what Rudy would have you believe. The FEC Rules are clear.

Confused. Are we to take Rudy -- Trump's attorney -- seriously but not literally? Or literally but not seriously?

Neither literally nor seriously. They are a bunch of low IQ buffons. Just like his supporters.

Take Rudy as a practiced liar.

Anybody else looking forward to this afternoon's spin?

The fact Rudy entered the fray on a “volunteer” basis at the point where there is no discernible strategy suggests that he’s got something to be concerned about.

Satah, did Trump lie to you or did you decide to lie to the American people on his behalf?

Talking about "fungible" that word is also checked in Guiliani's WP interview:

Costa: What people are interested in here are the contradictions. You appear to contradict the president because he said he wasn't aware of the payment.

Giuliani: He wasn't. When it was made, he wasn't aware of it. Was he aware that Michael incurred expenses to help him? Yes. Did he have an arrangement so that Michael knew he'd be reimbursed for it? Yes. Was the president really wise to take it out of personal funds rather than from campaign funds? Thank God he did, [or else] he'd get a campaign finance violation they'd try to drum up into a felony or something. The president is personally protected [audio cut]. Recollection? He never said this to the FBI. He never said it under oath.

Costa: Why did Cohen say for months that he used his own money?

Giuliani: He did. The original payment was his money.

Costa: But it came from President Trump at some level.

Giuliani: Is Cohen's money fungible? Yeah, Trump was paying him a retainer.

Sarah already refused to answer any question this morning since this matter is under litigation.

Who he slept with as a private citizen isn’t my business. All that took place before the Presidency and last I checked it’s not illegal to have sex with people who were both willing participants.

Who cares about his sex life - not me. But by taking this attitude you Republicans have forever lost your voice to opine on the sex lives of others whether Democratic politicians or everyday Americans. No more governing based on supposed biblical principles. Get your laws out of our bedrooms and off our bodies.

What’s at stake here are the standards of ethics for our politicians. Trump is destroying the rule of law and democratic ideals. You are excusing his breaking of laws, thereby showing us your acceptance of a thug as your leader.

Everyone who voted for Trump knew what they were getting. They knew he wasn’t the most clean and moral person. They also know he’s not a politician and that’s why they voted for him Republicans can still take the moral high ground if they so choose. Just because they decided to vote someone in to break up the status quo doesn’t mean they’re not for morals. You have to remember this was the first presidential candidate to openly support gay marriage while others such as Obama and Hillary Clinton refuse to do so during their campaign.

Please. He is amoral and so are his voters. End of discussion.

That’s opinion and not fact

“[Rudy Giuliani is] stating that Cohen sent out bogus invoices for $35,000 for legal work with no understanding no work would be done and the president paid the $35,000 invoice knowing no work was done, and that’s how they basically laundered the reimbursement" - Michael Avenatti
