If parents organize a shuttle, why would you be against it? If parents organize one, clearly it would benefit those families. Living near a charter does not guarantee access.

Not against it. Just sad to walk by it on my commute to school father away than the charter down the block. Very well aware that living near a charter does not guarantee access.

OK, but making others feel bad doesn't really make DCUM a welcoming community.

I'm honestly sorry to make you feel bad and appreciate your empathy.

When we received the acceptance call on Friday, I was told we would receive an email by Tuesday with forms and instructions. So I assume we'll find out from the email tomorrow? I'm so eager to get something in writing...still in shock that we actually got a spot!

Did you get those forms yet?

No, we totally struck out in the common lottery. Stokes was the last hope (and probably the best fit for us) so we are thrilled.

No. We had a few decent numbers (below 20) at CM, MV, DC Billingual.

Grade/# of WL?

I just contacted the school and she said she has not done the shuffle yet to know if the kids from the lottery with sibs will have space yet so she doesn't know if the WL will be moving up or down.

Yikes! I forgot it could move down...
