Now the school says they might have given him the test but they dont have the scores yet. But the parents were never informed and my kid is sure he did not write any other test oyther than COGAT(three days) what do i do? apparently the NNAT test results are not out yet

Do you have testing from your prior district? Look at the list for out of state transfer students and see if your testing is on that list. It is fairly extensive.

Documentation that your child was in the gifted program in that state?

Submit that information with your parent packet, along with a letter stating that your child did not receive the nnat testing due to moving here in 2nd grade.

Also, the spring testing window is now. If your child doesn't have an NNAT, you can request it be given now if you are new to the county.
They do need a nationally normed test.
Good luck

Thanks for the information! we moved from the montgomery county, they did not have any testing in grade 1. I will pursue the spring testing option. what baffles me is that the school now says they may have administered the test without my knowledge, they cannot say it for sure till they get the NNAT results. In any case i am preparing the parent referal form.
I blame the school for misleading me and now trying to tell me that the test might have been given without my knowledge, and the only way to check if they gave the test is by waiting for NNAT score

Got the letters. 79V, 97Q, 99N. VQN 97. NNAT 160.

Got the Letter VQN 73 and last year NNAT 142. What are the chances for AAP? Shall I wait for denial letter than DO WISC test for my DC.

Is any subtest of VON very high? For instance, if the quantitative or non-verbal is very high, that should be enough

Oh, your kid FAT scores are very similar to my kid's, but your DC's NNAT is much higher (my kid got only 135).

Not good. Absent a stellar (15-16) GBRS, you may need to appeal with a WISC. Just be prepared.

It would be good if it turns out that the test was given in the fall because it will be ready to go directly into your child's file. Good luck, hope it all works out!

DC received in pool letter - 127 (95th percentile) on NNAT & VQN 99 - V- 97, Q - 98, NV - 94 on FAT - Do you think DC will make AAP Level IV cut?

Yes. The FAT scores are very strong and the NNAT is good enough. Unless your DC get a super low GBRS your DC should get in.

No in pool letter. 127 (95 percentile nnat) VQN 91; V 79, Q 99, NV 78. what are the chances of AAP?
Anonymous
None, unless you timely filed a parent referral last Friday 2/8. I hope you did, because those are good scores.
