$80,000.00 In 401K $15,000 in 529 College plan for my 2 year old I'm not really sure how much my husband has in his though, we keep our finances separate. If I had to guess, I'd say probably $50,000.00. He's 31 years old. I think that's probably not very good, is it? I worry about it, but we don't make much money, and can't put any more into our retirement savings than we currently do. I should add though that we have a 15 year mortgage, with 11 years left on it, so as soon as that's paid, we will have a lot more money available to put to retirement/college. |

HHI: $40k - 50k (over the past 5 years, before much less) 401K: $121k (last year to present max out annual contr prior 25% of income) Roth IRA: $37K (for about 5 years to present max out annual contr) Mutual Funds: $38K Cash Accounts: $92K (add $200/mo) No debt except mortgage: $36K balance at 2.85% (pay extra towards pricipal when I can) Net worth (without home): Approx $297K Not enough yet, but getting on track. Don't need much, as I live pretty comfortably on about 35% of my pay...don't know why or how, but I am happy and content and feel like I get everything I want. |
