I am X years old and have X saved in a retirement fund

Me, 51 - $550K
DH, 53 - $600K and he will get a pension (FCPS)
HHI - $180K
House worth $800K, we owe another $100K on it, will pay it off in five years

I feel like we are behind.

The house being paid off is a big + .... the FCPS pension is another. I dont know if you are ahead or behind, but its not an overtly bad spot.

Hmmm. That's pretty close to where we're hoping to be in a few years and I thought we were doing pretty well.

not sure if you're looking for a pat on the back, or a "ata boy" but if you TRULY are worried that you're behind, you need a new perspective. You have more than enough to retire on and comfortably which is great! Dont get me wrong, I congratulate you but honey, you are not behind. I suggest moving to a lower cost of living area if you truly are concerned.

I was honest, stating that I have roughly 34 million in retirement, and you ignorantly assumed that I had mistyped. Then, to offer a little bit of proof I uploaded a picture of one of my Etrade accounts. You're the one with issues, you bitter, bitter poor person.

Np. That's awesome. And if you did it all through your own ingenuity and "sweat" I seriously respect you. Just don't blow through it! Keep it safe because there's a lot of temptation when it seems like there's so much.

Thats a TD Ameritrade account you dumb fuck. Trade Architect doesnt exist on etrade. If you are going to lie, at least get the fucking brokerage right.

Even if that screenshot is real (it's not), well....have fun while it lasts. See, the baby boomers are all starting to retire, and they are all broke as fuck. They are going to tax you into oblivion, and I say, have at it.
