Surprised we made it this far without Dust in the Wind!

I'm so sorry. My heart goes out to you.

Mine too. The song was always sad to me, but now with a young child it's so hard to hear. I'm so sorry for your loss, PP.

Two that always make me cry are Hearts and Bones (Paul Simon), and You Had Time (Ani DiFranco).

Also, I Try (Macy Gray). After fighting liver cancer, my friend picked this to be played at her own funeral when she died at 23. Hearing that song still breaks my heart.

(Even if you think you don't like country music, you should listen to the entire song if you haven't before.)

This song kills me. She sings about her dying mother, and it so captures for me how I felt when my mom was in hospice care.

Another vote for Tears In Heaven

Don't Laugh At Me - Mark Wills

True Colors - Cyndi Lauper. Used to make me cry, makes me think of someone who just could not see their true colors.

+1. Her first and best hit.

Yes. That album is so good.

That song is devastating. Gets me every time.

But SO SO SO good. Man I love that song.

Cat's Cradle is it for me. Time is something you can never ever get back.

You know what is really sad too? Not sure if it was mentioned and I missed it but 'Today Was a Good Day' Ice Cube. I mean granted when you listen to it, its not sad in a lot of the lyrics but the idea that living a day without being shot at is a good day was a seriously eye opening commentary for many.

WHOLE THING IS SAD -- LOVE IT!

For the millionth time, it is DH AND I. Stop it, just stop with "me and DH."

-I think it's pretty insulting to many Africans, who, while they may be poor, DO know what Christmas is.

Since it was written about the Ethiopian famine in the 80's, they may not know that it is Christmas. And if they do it doesn't matter. Not do they know what Christmas IS, do they know that it's that time of the year in many parts of the world. The time of year when people are eating way too much food and buying a lot of gifts, when the Ethiopians were starving to death.

I agree about Fast Car and House at Pooh Corner

Also:
Who Knew-- Pink
Hallelujah-- Leonard Cohen
If you get there before I do
Moments-- Emerson Drive
Finale of Les Miserables
Why-- Nichole Nordeman

Some of these are cheesey, but they've been known to make me cry nonetheless.
