There were no laughs. The crowd was telling Wolff to shut up at one point. Montoya said to herself “that’s the racism” after Yang voted no and the crowd reacted to the measures being passed by yelling and booing. Amazing to see these scientists act like middle schoolers!

Stop using the word rich like that! Montoya and Wolff’s comments were totally accurate. There is a reason the current programs are overwhelmingly white and Asian students. The actual RICH parents whining about FARMS rates, building utilization, and how heartbroken they are that they bought a home walking distance from a supposed quality schooo need to STFU. As Wolff said, this dont about YOU. It’s about what’s good for ALL students. And if you keep putting down and leaving out the black and brown kids, we will call you out on it!

They were interrupting the black woman over and over. They should have been escorted out after the first reminder. They were using coded racist language in their public testimony, BOE emails and in person interactions with the BOE. Did you hear what Montoya said about how people were eating her in front of her son?

She could not have been more condescending with her people are busy and not paying attention so we need to correct “misunderstanding” ridiculousness. And she literally sounded like she was preaching in church claiming that she and the board are so righteous and brave in the face of foes. I was practically hollering at her from my couch.

The reason the programs are overwhelming Asian and White is because there are more Asians and Whites applying. If you don’t apply, you don’t get in. Who applies? The parents. This is a reflection of MCPS not reaching out to communities who are underrepresented.

I don’t understand your question. Are you asking about the MSMC? Tat seems to be unclear. Taylor stating that “MS programs won’t change” doesn’t clarify if MSMC will still get to lottery into 3 different MS or if there will still be 80 out of bounds posts per grade available. And transportation is still unclear
