IAAM 2026

Lots of conference games today. Some decent matchups and, aside from Maryvale, it seems like many games could go either way this year.

SPSG vs St. Mary's - At some point SPSG has to find a way to stop the bleeding and have a big win, they have the players, but will it be today? My money is on St. Mary's but I think SPSG keeps it close.

Severn vs. McDonogh - Severn is slowly improving and McDonogh has been slowly imploding, but McDonogh will be out to prove something to themselves. McD's offense is poorly coached and easy to stop, but their defense is formidable, so I'll go with McDonogh - 2.

NDP vs RPCS - This one is tough and may come down which RPCS team shows up. RPCS is riding high off their big win last week so I'm going to give them the the edge.

John Carroll vs Bryn Mawr - Bryn Mawr is on the hunt for their first win. Against my better judgement, I'm gonna put my money on them, although John Carroll is scrappy and definitely the favorite.

GCS vs Spalding - Give me Spalding by 6.

BM isn’t a bad team, they just sent deep and it hurts them. JC is scrappy for sure, I think it comes down to draws where JC has advantage.

GCS back against a wall here but they can get draws as well as anyone so might be closer than some think.

Who doesn't love an underdog? I'd be happy to see GCS take it and Spalding has been a bit inconsistent - their one goal win against Severn was surprising.

BM needs a new coach, and that won’t happen because the current one is unlikely to move on voluntarily.

Could say that about a couple of teams in the IAAM

What happened to spsg? They doing bad

they are headed towards 5-6 in the conference at best, which would still mean they may need help to finish top 8 for the conference playoffs. only one of the two 5-win teams made it last year.

it was already answered here, but draw and offense are the main issues. no top players to rely on like in the past, and low iq play (poor shot selection, for example).

Shooting seems to be their Achilles heel. You're right about shot selection, but I've watched them hit pipes or goalie on point black shot after shot. Again, looking at their roster, it seems surprising to me. They do have elite players on offense - but the whole is definitely not greater than the sum of their parts.

I’m not sure they are in the elite category regardless of what IL says. Elite players would be scoring a lot more goals even if you just rolled the ball out with no plan. They have good players but none that wow you.

Recruiting is about brand and a lot of those kids that brand.

They have 1 conf win and 6 games remaining including Maryvale and Spalding, if they get to 6 wins it will be epic turnaround.

How many teams move up and down in the IAAM each year?

I believe it’s only one, least typically.

Does last place team always get relegated?
