What makes you say the GC is necessary? From what I have read on the FLRA website the decision would be made by the FLRA three member body which has all three spots filled currently |
My loose understanding of it is that the GC has a role in sort of certifying the appeal and without the GC in place the appeal cannot proceed. This happened during Trump 1 at several agencies FWIW. |
Do you think this is an OHR decision? |
I donât believe. I donât believe that a billionaire in his late 60s, who owns his firm, would just decide to go lead an organization whose people he despises. What a waste of time that would be. Nobody does that. |
Why would a billionaire in his late 60s, who owns his own real estate empire, just decide to go lead a country whose people he despises? |
Itâs called a power trip. |
An excellent question. I agree with the poster who said it was a power trip. There is no other reason. PA came in without a team. Without advisers and counsels. Without a GC. Without directors. Without a vision. And here we are. Almost 1000 people left. One town hall. No communication. Rumors galore. Morale lower than ever. |
I wouldnât even call that a town hall. It was more like a stump speech. |
He has no idea how to lead anything. And from all accounts he is horrible at making decisions. Wonât make them. Puts them off. Ignores them. He is totally unequipped for the job. He may know securities law and policy and how to talk policies with powerful people. But he cannot run a regulatory agency and is failing on all accounts. Anyone is Trump World who knows anything about what the SEC does must be terrified they are squandering this opportunity. |
| When will we know if they are going to appeal? |
They will drag it to the 30 day deadline either way, and anyone thinking they won't appeal is delusional. |
Absolutely not. My opinion is the decision lies within the chairmanâs office. |
You mean OPM because he is going to do whatever they tell him to. |
Itâs not that different at the CFTC. Today is a joke. |
lol. Some âpower.â No longer even an independent agency. Answers to RV for everything from policy and rulemaking to HR minutiae. Letâs see: optimal A is build my own company, be my own boss, travel the world, enjoy my wealth. Option B is âleadâ 4000 pissed off bureaucrats whining about telework all day, fighting with unions, and taking orders from RV. Hmmm â tough choice. But I think Iâll pass on Option B. |
