Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban split

Celeb or no celeb, if my spouse cheated on me, it would be in the divorce papers.

I'm Australian and love this couple as required. So I'm sad about this. But I have thought that loving and supporting NK as a partner/spouse seems like it would be exhausting. She's just absolutely insatiable. Nothing is good enough or enough for her.

I do wonder how all the on screen sex affects couples relationships. (Yes, I understand it's her job.) She's certainly established enough that she doesn't need to be taking soft porn roles like Babygirl or Family Affair.

Sad a man can’t keep commitments.

McConaughey‘S wife made family on set demand before agreeing to marry him.

Being with someone doesn’t stop them from cheating. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.

His wife is a do-nothing gold digging "model". Actors are largely bi/gay, so I doubt Matthew would be cheating with a woman.

He dated Sandra Bullock and Ashley Judd. He’s straight.

I think he was supportive but didn't care for it. He thought it was disrespectful when people mentioned her sex scenes in his interviews and even recently hung up a zoom call.

Egads, his hair.

His hair has been terrible for years. Maybe if he's having a late mid life crisis he'll get a haircut.

I have never seen one scintilla of appeal in his looks. Nicole used to be beautiful but is so plastic now annd can barely watch her. Although I cannot wait for the release of Practical Magic 2 next year with Sandra Bullock.

They both look equally plastic. She would make a perfect Samantha Stevens remake

You know, I do agree that the over-the-top displays of affection are a bit much, but I really feel for these high profile women. I think it’s very hard for most husbands to accept the fact that their wives are very famous. I remember Gwen Stefani always used to make a big deal talking about how hot she was for Gavin. And what did he do… eventually the stereotype of sleeping with the nanny. A decision that he clearly regrets since he’s clear in recent interview anout how he regrets fumbling Gwen.

I think some of it over the top displays were just to reassure Keith. I don’t know, I’ve never been much of a Nicole Kidman fan, but everything I’m reading about this really makes me sympathize with her.

Good point. It makes sense—reassurance to his fans too.

She’s said as much in interviews when she says she “never stops yearning.”

She's probably like a Joan Crawford or a Bette Davis....difficult and lives for being "an actress" and ARTIST. Just an intuition. Additionally, she said she was blindsided with Cruise divorce as well. She uses her PR machine like a pro after decades in the business and she learned it from Cruise and has honed it to top levels ever since. That's in part why she appears stilted and brittle as a pp said. Because part of her is and additionally she is highly controlled and guarded, like actresses were in the days where they were under the studios. It's just looks like a lot of bullsh*t, lots of energy spent being a celebrity but then in interviews scoffs about how she is an artist...can't imagine living with someone this self absorbed. Maybe he just got tired of it or became involved with someone available and real.

I think there's a lot of truth to this. But not in any way abusive, I think she's incredibly loving to her family (except for being away nonstop and now whatever the break was with KU). I think she's insatiable to the point of a debilitating mental illness and probably narcissistic. She's mentioned in interviews the constant yearning and therefore never satisfied, despite enormous success (and probably unbearable sadness that so many of her projects were clunkers). She says she "feels things deeply." It presents as her being a workaholic but I think it's much deeper (and worse) and makes her actually extremely needy to those around her and ultimately very hard to love. She's also taken the death of her parents extremely hard.
I'm disappointed her PR is working so hard to get ahead of the story. I would have expected the "quiet" separate lives rather than her media blitz while he's on tour and had a concert last night (and coming here next week, BTW).
And that's my opinion coming from a fan of both of them.

Yes...she has done interviews where she said she "tricked her body" into believing she was actually ill like the character and that for months after a film she was in a type of haze and could not respond to her own name. ??? I think she blurs reality ( perhaps a lot) and immerses herself in roles in a way that is not typical...she and her people frame this as her devotion to her art but it sounds more intense, masochistic and actually sort of dissociative, beyond " method". I think she has issues yes. Her hyperattunement and need to modify the body to such extremes is another bad sign.

I have no idea if any of those rumors about her father being accused of sexual abuse are true but maybe there was trauma in the family. Who knows? There's an interview on you tube of her profiled in a kind of 60 minutes Australia news show from the 80's and it was pretty obvious she did some intense nude/sexual scenes in an early movie even as a teen. Now she's letting her minor daughter model...it just gives the ick. And some, actually many of her roles are ick/disturbing too....why would a person be drawn to those very dark themes she has played ( ie matricide in The Others, psychopathy in Malice, To Die For and others) if it did not touch on something familiar? I don't think she's the healthiest person and I have thought that for a long time. She seems like she could be a trauma survivor to me.

These posts are both interesting and probably accurate. I had second hand embarrassment when she talked about having too many orgasms while filming Babygirl. I’ve never heard another actor talk like this—they usually claim no erotic feelings or just don’t talk about it. To be so open and say something that’s just TMI is strange behavior, espresso when you’re married. It points to a blurred reality, as you noted.

^^especially, not espresso. Sheesh.

Prediction:

Keith Urban is dating Kelsea Ballerini…who recently split from that actor from Outer Banks.

The gossip is Keith is dating someone from the Nashville music industry. Timing works.

When a man file for divorce, he has moved on or want to start that processes of taking the next step with someone. Unfortunately, many relationships run its course. Divorce happens to so many women in their 50s. I wonder why. Could it be she's is in post menopause. That means she spent a few years suffering like most women with per menopause symptoms, where she lacks the desire. This happens a lot with women. This will be hard on Nicole cause they have been married a long time.

I like Nicole but she's always been odd. It's gotten worst as she's gotten older. There's a desperation to it now. The way she phased getting tired of acting out the orgasms was so inappropriate. She kept saying how she was present for those scenes and the bluring of lines gave her burnout that she didn't even want to be touched. I dont blame Keith for being annoyed by people questioning him.

Like Ben and JLo. There was no saving that relationship because Ben was done and had moved on before. He like Keith forced JLo's hand to file first but itd not what they wanted.
