So she should be ashamed. Lol. Not going to happen. Sorry the pretty white girl has triggered you. But that’s a you problem. |
Reformation is a sexy brand, AE is not, and continues to not be, despite the SS ad. |
I disagree with this. There is overlap between the two, however I think women tend to gravitate towards striking facial features and men gravitate towards body. Some women have both which makes them both Guy hot and Girl hot. |
I didn’t say SS should be ashamed. Nor am I triggered. As I said, you folks need to exaggerate because you cannot deal with facts as they exist. |
Wasting time on the so called facts is certainly a choice. You probably never shopped at AE before so this really has nothing to do with you. People are looking at AE and talking about it. That’s the only point. |
Conservatives spent so much time trying to tell us that men and women but now they are trying to say we’re the same on something so fundamental like sexual attractiveness. |
Yes! Just stop the hysterics already. |
I shopped at AE decades ago. My teens don’t like the store. SS’s ad and people defending it aren’t going to make it more appealing. Do you jokers realize we have kids who in the demographic? |
Do you think you’re the only parent of teens around here? If their previous ads with models who probably look more like you and yours were successful, then they would have stuck with that. |
It’s the specific genes the ad is highlighting that are the problem. It’s selling Aryaness, not having a specific figure. |
(DP). Yeah, pretty much. I think the ad is “triggering” people because it reminds them that blonde, white, blue eyed people used to be considered “superior” by some (racist) people. When taken that way, the ad is in poor taste. But the response of those triggered is also way out of line. It’s an ad. It features someone white talking about her “genes”/jeans. It’s not that deep. White people exist, some are really hot, if that triggers you, seek help. |
Explain what you mean by Aryaness specifically. Because she’s not even really blond. And she’s pretty short. Not ticking a lot of boxes other than white. |
How is it “selling Aryaness”? What does that even mean? And if your response is going to be something like “I don’t have the energy to explain it, you should know what I mean, wahhh!” - don’t bother responding. |
lol you really have to noodle twist logic to think they’re promoting Aryaness. It’s a pretty girl with nice jeans. That’s it. That’s their job, to put pretty people to sell merchandise. |
