There are political figures sieg heiling on stage at political conventions, now is not the time to pretend we've never heard of Nazis.

Sure if they had done it about different women or a lot of random beautiful women it would read differently. Because there wouldn't be a history of violent eugenics behind the message.

Nazis or no nazis, most people prefer blonde hair and blue eyes.

That’s…not true.

Ok, so if I say that one person has great genes, that means no one else does? The ad didn't say "Sydney Sweeney has the best genes".

She is short. She would not have made the cut the 1990-2000’s.

Oh great, we're back to celebrating Aryans. That always works out so well historically

She's white.

It’s a punny ad with a sexy blond woman.

She’s their spokesperson, so that’s why it’s about her?

So if it was a black woman it would be fine?

They should have at least used Lena Dunham or Lizzo for this campaign. Sydney Sweeney is just such a patriarchal throwback and slam in the face from, most likely, male misogynists, as usual.

How did the 2024 election work out for you?

It wouldn't be great. American eagle can do what they want but I don't know why they need to bring genetics into it at all.

Pretty instructive that we chose a corrupt fat cat again instead of a mama bear. We really stink sometimes.

If Halle Berry was in the ad, anyone who criticizes it would be racist.

I think the only disturbing part was when they panned up to her eyes and she said "my jeans are blue" -- implying that blue eyes are the best eyes.

This ad is a thermometer. People are scared and stressed out. This is why the ad is so triggering.

Is she really a good actress? I figured she was popular for other reasons.

Are you most people? No, most people most certainly do not.

Wow, if this isn't a rather ethno-centric view of the world that doesn't stand if you truly want diversity and inclusion.
