You can thank test required. It will be the difficulty getting in. You just don’t have all those TOs driving up applications anymore which makes the calculation different.

^ still be the same level of difficulty/selectivity

This is rumored several places. I bet they are---they admitted more than usual RD.

Bummer. Hearing that now from others too.

According to CC, Tulane has "closed" their WL and filled enrollment.

More specifically the post read:

"Received an email from Tulane that they’ve admitted 45 students from the waitlist and have ‘exceeded’ their enrollment goal.

So, likely not much more movement going forward."

So they must have admitted fewer in ED because overall numbers are not very different. For class of 2027, they admitted 1751 total; for class of 2028, they admitted 1685 total; and for class of 2029, they admitted 1702 total...so barely more overall than last year and fewer than two years ago. They didn't go to WL at all two years ago, and class of 2027 is the biggest in history, I believe. There may have been a little WL movement last year.

There was a report of one kid in off the waitlist, but Harvard doesn't usually do much before mid-May.

Yeah heard nothing official from Darthhhmouth WL. Their target was 1185 class size. Their yield has gone up I think b/c their "middle class family" donor has made the college a screaming deal for such families. Harvard doing same thing...I bet Darthhhhmouth yield are going to be averaging 70% going forward which only started a year or so ago.

why are you calling it that?

Just a joke....combination of how your typical Dartmouth blue blood speaks + Sith Lord vibe of the place. You are going into IB, right?

I think Dartmouth, Brown, Penn, and Columbia all have about 50% yield for regular decision.
