He’s always played favorites. That’s why some teachers love him and some don’t…that’s why some parents think he’s amazing and some don’t. He loved the kids who were sports fanatics and had no clue who some of the kids who were there from k-5 even were.
Yes these are all anonymous posts so we have zero clue who is lying and who is making things up, but the truth is that enough people in the cluster have had negative interactions with him that he should not be in a position of power in that school. There is no trust. MCPS messes up here. |
This. +1000 “No trust “. Thanks again mcps. Nothing has changed with Dr Taylor |
They are not “kids” they are former students. Winter has had a very long career so his former students are highly Likely adults who are allowed to sign a petition. Please stop your propaganda |
LOL...he was a principal up to last year...many of his students are still KIDS. Many of the responses I saw were from KIDS. |
Yes, the difference here is I actually worked with many of the teachers who say negative things about him. I hate to say this about the other teachers because they are really nice people, but they did not have the best of interest of kids at the forefront and that is why they often got upset with him. They wanted to do things that were best for them as teachers, or easier for them as teachers when that is not what the job is about. It is about kids. I can name at least 15 teachers who were like this towards him. I would post this publicly on another platform but worried about those teachers are the biggest "Karens" and would make life hard for me, as they did when I worked in schools with them. If you are a parent in the RCV cluster and are concerned about if Mr.Winter has the best interest of kids at heart, give him a chance and I think you will be pleasantly surprised. I am really sad to see this vitriol toward someone who has dedicated their life to Montgomery County community, was acquitted of any wrongdoing, and is coming back to work in schools despite the disparaging comments. This is someone who cares about education and children. Maybe you all will be happy when there are no more teachers and admins left to take this vitriol. Lots are leaving, and you'll see how good you had it. |
Ok sure so you know every “kid” who signed. GTFO |
| This gentleman is bad news. Asked many staff who have worked with him. |
I agree with this as I worked with Mr. Winter too. There were definitely staff that would do anything they could to argue, debate, and ultimately try to undermine his efforts for the school. He does truly care about students and has devoted his career to MCPS. He collaborated more with staff than any principal I have had in my career. He deserves better than this uncalled and unfair public humiliation. I believe RCV needs to give him a chance. He's been through a lot and knowing him he's different than who he was before COVID, before the accusation at his school, and really deserves a chance. MCPS would not have allowed him back if he had been convicted or if it was clear of significant wrong doing from their due process. Please stop persecuting him and let him work! |
| Good idea!!! Put him in an office where he can't hurt anyone, |
His actions to a child were not ok. Everyone can lose their cool at times but he needs to learn to walk away and not take it out on kids, especially those with special needs. He needs to land in central office. |
They had to remove him pending the investigation and legal process. If they had a problem with it, they wouldn't be giving him an AP position immediately. Do an MPIA on his pay-- I bet he's getting paid the same amount as before. |
If "negative interactions" were a disqualifier, we wouldn't have any student-facing MCPS staff left! |
Were you there to witness the event? Have you seen the video first-hand? Or are you just relying on potentially inaccurate reporting? |
Ok so MCPS should make staffing decisions based on the opinion of these random kids who signed a petition. GTFO |
. She didn't need to see it. She just knows. Because Andrew was mean to her once when she worked for him. |
