The poll numbers for Democrats are surging.

And still Trump won't put himself on a stage with Harris. That's very unlike him. I wonder if he's unwell. He's an old geriatric after all. 8 pm might be a little late for him. Most Americans don't want a president who will be in his 80s. You'd think he'd at least try to be energetic, maybe with the help of some meds.

He's afraid of her. He knows she's smart. He knows she can think quickly and humiliate him.

He didn't worry about that with Biden. Harris will be in control of that debate stage.

Do you think Harris will do better than Hillary, who, after all, was a smart lawyer like Harris?

I don't know. I think it will be tight due to the obvious prejudices of our populace. But I also think we all understand Trump and his games better. I don't know who will win, though I think Harris will be a better president ( I can't believe I even have to clarify that).

I think most Republicans will not vote for a smart woman of color, no matter what party.

I think many of us will, but like the pp said, the race is going to be tighter than it should be, because a lot of independents may also be prejudiced against a woman and / or person of color.

I’m a Republican and voted for Haley in the primaries. Would rather have Haley than Harris Or Trump…

And if it's Harris vs Trump?

Trump.

Harris is Biden 2.0

Failed border policy, failed Israel policy, inflation, crime, etc…

The failed border policy is a result of Trump scuttling the border bill
I am not sure what the failed Israel policy is. The US firmly supports Israel.
Inflation is a global phenomenon and the US has it better than any other country.
Crime is down 30% since Trump left office.

What else do you have in that "etc" because it is otherwise doing a lot of work there.

There is no real reason to issue this. It makes him look weak and scared. She will become the official nominee on August 1st. That's more than a month before the scheduled debate in September. The way to have handled it to look strong is to say 'Anyone, any place, any time'.

Yep. Trump is surrounded by idiots, degenerates, and grifters.

Border failure was Biden dropping remain in Mexico and inviting millions of migrants.

Up until 2023 he and Myorkas denied there was even a border crisis! Only until the crisis reached NYC, DC, Chicago, Biden started to pay attention! Republicans passed HR2 long before the Senate bill. HR2 was never take. O many the Dem Seante run by democrats.

So no, border cross did not just start. It was an issue from 2021 and Biden and Harris did nothing for 2 years until people like Adams of NY starting calling them out as they had nearly 100k migrants living in NYC…

Does Kamala have any message besides identity politics and hating Trump?

Seriously - what are her key issues and her vision for the country?

Here.
Myorkas denies in 2023 there was a crisis…

So there goes your theory and at that point we had 5 million plus crossings already.

He didn't "invite millions of migrants." Trumps central American policy forced the departure of people who otherwise would have been happy to stay, particularly in Venezuela. Trump also abused a law that, after a lawsuit, was invalidated, leaving Biden with fewer tools to deal with the issue, which is why he needed the legislation passed, but Trump torpedoed it to keep people angry about the issue. God forbid the GOP ever help pass a law that addresses problems.

You can watch her speeches or go to her website. Plenty of hard nosed policy there.

So you want kids in cages, all out war in the Middle East (worse than today exasperated by strong man egos), inflation, criminal leadership, etc. That sounds better to you?

Have you been in a coma for the last 6 months?

Democrats have defined headless chicken.

Now they are back to calling Trump a coward re: debates, after he probably should be arrested for attempted murder after he dismantled and exposed old Joe in their debate.

I mean can you all even get a new shtick for Kamala? Change it up?

Then please explain why he is now refusing to debate Harris?

It’s pretty arrogant of Kamala to pretend that she is the nominee when she has yet to receive even 1 delegate.

She can just hold her pretty little horses until her party gets its act together and has an official nominee since they forced the other one out.

Uhhh...you realize that Trump debated Biden literally a few weeks ago when Trump was not the GOP nominee yet, right?

Was that "pretty arrogant" of him?

Why is debating not-yet-but-presumptive-nominee Harris a problem all of a sudden when debating not-yet-but-presumptive-nominee Biden wasn't? It's literally the exact same situation, except Trump is terrified of debating Harris now, so he's grasping at straws to make up excuses that don't even make logical sense.

When Trump debates Biden they had both secured the delegates to be the presumptive nominee. That is not true of Kamala.

First of all, this is a total lie. But what else would I expect of a Republican...

https://apnews.com/article/harris-biden-presidential-candidate-election-withdraw-9fbd153493cb3f088994854fe61a73e9

But even if it wasn't those are the exact straws I was referring to. So what if she hadn't? We all know she's going to be, it's a complete non-issue.

The problem with Republicans is they're all so stupid that they're too stupid to realize the idiotic and obvious lines they fall for don't work on informed, intelligent people.

How have you even made it to this forum without bothering to look??? Are you asking for a link to a webpage? A ChatGPT summary?

Senate bill was in 2024. At that point it was a response to Biden’s poll numbers being I. The toilet in border policy. Again, in 2023, Biden denied there was even a border Issue!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually not a lie. Harris was not the presidential nominee when Trump debated Biden…. So what’s your point.

So if you do not vote for her you are prejudice??? Nice. How about not liking her policies on immigration, crime, economy?

If you agree with her stance on many if not most issues and you think Trump is a decaying old blob of nonsense and incompetence yet you still do not vote for her, you just might be prejudiced, yes.
