Yes they will not give info to stakeholders but they will to media as that communications office did Monday. No lockdown this time. However, there was a plan years ago to evaluate communications during a prolonged lockdown. Where can families find the evaluation? In that bogus weekly things-to-know newsletter???? https://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/departments/publicinfo/community/school-year-2021-2022/Community-Update-20220606-final.html Why wasn't there a lockdown in this incident? Because student with firearm left building? Because MCPS didn't want the world to know the same school in a "premier" school district had another emergency? Students can leave campus. Why didn't they call a shelter in-place so that no one inside leaves building? Makes people think incident itself is a rumor. If MCPS does not clear up, families will sue. There is already talk of it. |
Did they want adults to vote for BOE candidates who support reinstating SROs? ALL principals want SROs. The administrative staff are playing security in these high schools. That is wrong. One CEO is not enough. |
DP. Don't know what messages but ask yourself this. Are you a woman? If you are, you are not privileged. A white woman? Still not much, but more than a non-white woman. |
Of all the weird stuff on this thread, the comments about B-CC being a rich/premier/W school are the weirdest. |
It is on the wealthier side. |
In case you didn't know, W includes Wheaton ![]() |
Did u read the prior posts? |
11:18, letter said weapon, article said MCPS said gun, and people say firearm. Do YOU know? |
Was weapon on a BCC student or a student from another school? |
What bathroom did BCC student see another student with weapon? Is this the alleged knife incident or "gun/weapon" one? |
Y'all are asking great questions that only MCPS and MCPD can answer. Go ask them. |
They did. Neighbors without children living near the high school also want to know. It is a safety concern for not only those with children in the school but those who live in the neighborhood. "Y'all" |
^ +1. And I'm sure you and they received a wealth of information from MCPS and McPd!! Why else would you need to ask questions on here?
12:58 doesn't get it. DP |
It's not that I don't get it. But sending MCPS and MCPD the questions directly puts pressure on them to respond. Posting here on DCUM does nothing to them. I didn't say that because I think MCPS/MCPD are transparent and responsive. I said that because continuously questioning and confronting them is how we'll eventually get answers. |
How do you know "y'all" haven't repeatedly been asking district and p unit questions, and have not received answers? This is a forum, you know, to discuss and ask questions. |
