What about my bodily right not to have an unwanted parasite growing inside me and distorting my body causing me extreme discomfort and, possibly, ends getting my life?

I am 100% pro choice (and pro euthanasia as well). However I do think that people who use abortion as a method of birth control are pretty disgusting.

Unless you’re talking about rape, we all know that you can get pregnant when you have sex. If you don’t want to get pregnant, don’t have sex. If you don’t want an unwanted parasite growing inside you, why are you precipitating in activities that could potentially put one there?

You’ll be glad to know this doesn’t happen, so your reservation has been cared for.

Silly goose! Women aren’t people in the GOP! You have things like wishes and hopes are irrelevant, and you don’t get rights because you’re not a person, you’re a woman!

People have been having abortions since Caesar lectures in the Forum. And even with Comstock, you think abortions are going to stop? Now they also want to get rid of a plan B and IVF. Hey religious crazies, did you know that the places with the lowest # of abortions have easy access to birth control and teach sex education? Tour hero, Donnie Dumbass actually reduced birth control funding.

How are you killing yourself?

Ectopic pregnancies
Sepsis
Infection due to PPROM
Extreme cases of HG
Cancers discovered during pregnancy
Heart conditions discovered during pregnancy
Pre-existing heart or kidney conditions or other health conditions for which pregnancy poses extreme risks
Placental abruption
Pre-eclampsia
Etc
Etc
Etc

All of the above can be fatal to the mother. All can result in life-altering consequences to the mother and limit or prohibit her ability to carry future pregnancies or take care of children she already has.

Have you never known anyone in your life who has had a life-threatening pregnancy? How fortunate.

Then don’t have sex I guess? These are like the arguments made against ending slavery before machinery and electricity. Working a farm by hand in the hot summer sun is way deadlier than pregnancy. The abuse of the helpless for the convenience of the strong is wrong in every age.

Oh, you mean aim for being a childless cat lady? I'm sure JD Vance and others of his ilk would just LOVE it if their wives started denying sex for fear of getting pregnant and losing their own right to life should a potential complication occur.

Anybody who would stab a developing helpless human in the head to avoid pregnancy would definitely have had slaves to avoid working a farm with hand tools. Even slaves wanted to live so in a way abortion is worse. People never change and are really bad.

Anyone who would force a 10 year old to go through the arduous and dangerous processor gestating a fetus to term and pushing out of her body would definitely have agreed that slaves did not have the right to bodily autonomy.

The abusive, pedophile enabling mother of the 10 year old, and the mother’s pedophile rapist boyfriend are the ones to blame. As a side quest, the pedophile enabling mom forced her 10 year old to undergo an abortion.

But somehow it’s the fault of the GOP/Trump/men/republicans. 9 year old children don’t deserve to be raped and made pregnant and undergo an abortion. It’s so odd people think the whole problem is the child had to leave the state to abort her baby.

I had a friend who died from a much wanted pregnancy that suddenly and unexpectedly killed her.

That can happen in any pregnancy. Moreover pregnancy is a difficult process that leaves every woman’s body changed. It is literally labor to gestate for 9 months. And difficult, potentially dangerous and even deadly work. That’s why women get to decide, why they have the upper hand in deciding if they are willing to donate their body and their labor and time to gestating a human being. You seem to believe in forced labor. That is completely un-American.

What was the medical issue that caused sudden death?

Have you worked in public health? J/k I already know the answer. This absolutely 100% happens.

It’s this willful ignorance that I just can’t tolerate.

Really? Every woman who gets an abortion has been forcibly impregnated? No one has ever had unprotected sex, gotten pregnant, then aborted the baby they didn’t want?

Man you really do learn something new every day.

If you don’t believe in abortion don’t have one. How does someone else’s choice personally impact you? Be thankful if you have never been the victim of child sexual abuse. Be thankful if you have never found yourself in an abusive relationship. Be thankful if you grew up in a stable home with two loving, involved parents or even one. Until you walk in someone else’s shoes, you don’t know what choices you might make.

Probably preenclampsia.

Hey do you know birth control (ALL forms of birth control) can fail, even if used perfectly?

Pregnancy is not labor. Pregnancy is the result of sex. The vast majority of abortions are elective abortions. There was no rape, there are no medical problems with either mother or baby. 98% of abortions are elective abortions.

Elective abortion is the most common obstetric surgical procedure in the United States.

You’re proving my point. The only way to not get pregnant is to not have sex. When you have sex with birth control, and still get pregnant, you are using an abortion as a form of birth control.

Again, I’m pro choice. But having an abortion as a method of birth control is disgusting.

So...you propose abstinence only, even in marriage, if someone doesn't want a baby?
