Pregnancy is the term used to describe the period in which a fetus develops inside a woman's womb or uterus. Work is to perform work or fulfill duties regularly for wages or salary. Do women get paid for pregnancy? No. It’s a process a woman’s body goes through. Do women have sex and think they aren’t engaging in the activity that can produce pregnancy? |
That 10 year old just wasn't thinking logically enough during the rape. |

What the actual heck. That's only one definition of the word, and you think closing your eyes to language makes it not exist? Is chopping wood for your own house doing work? Is doing dishes work? ![]() |
Call it whatever you want. Human life, unborn baby, fetus, embryo - it should be the woman’s choice to end a pregnancy. However, I do think that once a woman is in her third trimester and the baby can technically breathe on its own, abortion should be discouraged (assuming both mother and baby are and will continue to be healthy) but not necessarily illegal.
I’ve personally had an abortion (at 5 weeks) after undergoing years of infertility and two successful and healthy births due to IVF. I’ve also had miscarriages from IVF. I don’t regret my decision to have an abortion at all. I didn’t want a third child (and due to my infertility, I didn’t think I could get pregnant naturally). Let women decide what’s best for them. |
Pregnancy is a biological process. Other biological processes: movement, respiration, sensitivity, growth, reproduction, excretion, and nutrition. All living things move. All living things need nutrition. All living things grow. All living things use excretion to rid themselves of waste. All living things are sensitive to stimulus around them. All living things have the capacity to reproduce. Being pregnant is a biological process. No one is making a sperm and egg meet inside your body. What happens after that is a biological process, called pregnancy. The GOP doesn’t control biological processes. |
You are an actual world salad now. Tighten it up, PP. |
Pregnancy is a biological process that occurs in women and girls. It is not forced work. |

+1 As anyone who has been pregnant knows, pregnancy is a huge physical, emotional, and financial burden with real, significant health risks. There are a millions reasons why a woman (or child) may not want to continue the pregnancy. They should not be forced to continue and give birth if they aren’t willing/able to do so. It takes a true sadist to force a woman to give birth against her will. |
All of the bolded are false. |
Only someone who has never gone through gestating a pregnancy to term and pushing the product out of their body would say it is not work. It sure the hell is. My body has never fully recuperated from that labor after years. |
Use your English dictionary to look up "labor." |
They want to find out the hard way that 10-16 year olds who give birth tend to have more health issues. My great grandmother found out the hard way at 13, when she got married. |
Well, I happen to have it on good authority that it's beyond the pale that "women have sex and think they aren’t engaging in the activity that can produce pregnancy," so they should have been more careful. Doesn't matter if they are in 4th grade or even junior high. Walking uteruses should know better. Maybe they can't legally consent to sex, but surely little girls have a way of shutting those things down. |
