Zuraya “booster” yet again. Kathleen’s my #1. Aren’t we all talking about #2? Or just me.
No one else is qualified. I stand by voting Zuraya as #2. The best of a lousy bunch. (Excluding Kathleen. Because I need to spell it out with crayons.) |
DP, not a Zuraya fan or booster. I’m actually okay with lobbyists running for SB. APS could use some help in that department down in Richmond rn. And let’s not pretend that some of you Arlington parents aren’t federal/state lobbyists too. APE seems to have a lot of them spreading tears about “learning loss” |
At least they are ALL better than the last round. |
APE itself is a lobbying org now (anti-education). |
Yeah, these no pathway to winning for an independent. Everybody votes lockstep D here. Which wouldn't be a problem if ACDC didn't try to control every single damn thing. I blame them 100% that I even have to vote for Chen, Zuraya or Larry. |
I don't like the APE lobbyists AT ALL. What's your point? |
Can you explain how APE is anti education? I don't like them, just wasn't aware that this is their new thing. |
Does anyone know Zuraya’s stance on phones in the classroom? Given her employment history with Meta ( parent company of Facebook and Instagram) and her current position with another entertainment giant, it is really important to know if she is going to be helping or hindering those companies to get clicks during the school day. |
The point is that people right here are accusing Zuraya of being a lobbyist, like it's a bad thing that she is one or was one. (Doesn't she work for a Spanish TV station or something like that?) Someone astutely just pointed out that many of APE's leadership are lobbyists too. |
You are just reaching now, aren't you? She doesn't work for Facebook/Meta anymore. Go to a debate and just ask her if you're so interested. |
I know the crazies on here love to speculate that Chen is the APE sleeper candidate. I asked someone very involved in APE who they were supporting. They said Kathleen Clark and undecided on #2. |
Cool story, anon. |
From the other Arlington School Board candidate thread “Maybe Zuraya can offer insider info on exactly how many students in Arlington are streaming during the school day since she works for TelevisaUnivision. They must have data on how many youth they have tuning in and using their services/apps during school hours. But I’m being too cynical, I’m sure it’s only “educational” programming students are accessing during the school day! Would love to hear what knowledge Zuraya has on this subject.” |
