Arlington School Board candidates

Chen has served on zero advisory committees and voted to approve zero minutes. We have crappy candidates apart from Kathleen, so there’s the watermark, I guess.

He’s not trying to inflate his credentials either. Since she already has all the endorsements, Zuraya should just be honest she doesn’t have much experience.

But Zuraya does have experience, she worked at Meta, the parent company of FB and Instagram.

Regarding candidates who follow a Facebook group, I definitely would not jump to conclusions. There are a few Facebook groups I follow only because i think it’s important to try understand the ‘other side’ of things that I don’t agree with or to make myself listen to things outside my own echo chambers.
I mean, why else would I force myself to trudge thru the troll comments on dcurbanmoms?
There is a good chance if you’re running for school board you want to try to get a handle on all sides of various issues to be ready to argue your stance on those issues.

This is ridiculous. I’m voting for Kathleen and Chen but don’t need to drag Zuraya through the mud.

And we’re surprised no one more qualified wants to run for school board.

I just went back and looked at the questionnaire Zuraya filled it for SEPTA. (It was sent out a while back but I ignored it until now). She just parroted back what's on SEPTA's website. Kind of lame.

Zuraya booster here. None of the three other candidates are qualified. But alas, there's two seats open. I'm voting for Zuraya because I absolutely do not trust Chen's claims and promises and Larry should have run a decade ago.

Honestly, everyone should just ignore the rank choice ballot and just vote for two people, Kathleen being one of them.

I hope someone better runs as an Independent. ACDC runs this town, but maybe with our truly crappy selection, that second seat will be up for grabs. I can hope, right?
