The programs have been around forever and potential employers can easily verify if the degree is from Harvard Extension. They aren’t just online. They are legitimate.

Or one can simply list it correctly on their resume rather than being dishonest and trying to rep that they attended either the Kennedy School or did an MA in Government Studies in the Yard.

You have seen a copy of his resume? Where was this?

When interviewers describe him as having a government degree from Harvard, they had to have gotten the info from somewhere. It's either the resume or Rufo himself.

He knew exactly what he was doing with his weasel words. And the fact this was in 2022 is hilarious. This wasn’t when he was 23 years old, the guy is a middle aged dad in Washington state.

What is fake about the degree? He earned it. It's up to Harvard to change the name of the program if they don't want to be associated with the extension school.

No admission standards. Open enrollment. Online. Half the classes not taught by profs with any affiliation to Harvard. Credits can’t be used towards real Harvard programs. Anyone with $40,000 can buy his prole wannabe degree.

Seems like your issue should be with the university awarding such sham degrees, not with the degree holders.

Harvard decides to have open enrollment, and awarded the degree. It's their responsibility.

Founded in 1910, we are one of the 12 degree-granting Harvard schools.
….
We are a fully accredited Harvard school. Our degrees and certificates are adorned with the Harvard University insignia. They carry the weight of that lineage. Our graduates walk at University Commencement and become members of the Harvard Alumni Association.

Were you admitted through a competitive application process? If so then leave it on your Linkedin! HES takes all comers.

Rufo got a master's degree in Extension Studies, not Government. He wants a degree in Government, then he needs to apply to Harvard's Department of Government, Graduate Studies and where, if successful, obtain a degree.

It's one of the schools of the university. https://extension.harvard.edu/about/why-harvard-extension-school/

"Founded in 1910, we are one of the 12 degree-granting Harvard schools. Our degrees and certificates are adorned with the Harvard insignia. Earning a credential from us means enjoying the best of a world-class Harvard education, and the weight of that reputation and lineage on your resume. You’ll have access to our world-class libraries, walk at University Commencement along with students from other Harvard schools, and become members of the Harvard Alumni Association."

I get that you want it to be something else, but it is what it is. They could call it by another name to avoid confusion, but they don't.

Again, where is the resume that listed this incorrectly? All I've seen is information on a bio on a website about his education. Which is not a resume.
