Will a single one even be arrested?

An insurrection by definition

How do they know they are Democrats?

They don't. But it's highly doubtful they are Republicans.

The protestors are marching in support of a ceasefire, release of hostages, and good-faith negotiations for a two-state solution, right?

If so, I guess I’d just see the chants about ‘48 as being emotional pleas.

Most people don't want to be associated with these protesters. So I imagine that those that do will be the worst of the worst. And of course most will be masked. Just like the KKK. Definitely would not attend if you have a career to think about

Spoken like a true fascist! Silence the opposition.

"opposition" = people who want to see people like me dead.

Why do you support that? What did I do to you?

If you need to oppress millions of people to feel safe, you need to rethink your worldview.

Millions of people marching for freedom only threatens their oppressors. And to answer your question, I have no sympathy for people who need to kill thousands of civilians to feel safe.

Also he needs to look up “insurrection” in a dictionary

+1.

It's Benny Johnson. Someone who has been fired for plagiarism, twice.

Was anyone actually at the protest? I see no mention here of hate chants or scaling the white house fence. So now PPs with Instagram shots have me confused.

Sure, you can argue that it's not. You sound just like Southerners when they talk about "States' Rights."

It is not a dog whistle in that an audience has to understand and appreciate the message in the dog whistle. In this case, people are telling you that “destroy Jews” or “kill all Israelis” or whatever you think it means is not what they hear - they dont hear the dog whistle. You can think they are misguided. I guess you can disbelieve them. But if you listen to people about what they are saying rather than what you assume they are saying, we will get further.

I appreciate that some probably do say this to mean “exterminate all Jews”. I also accept that most Israelis who voted for Likud do not want to murder all Palestinians (they use the phrase too).

If you can understand that the Arab Americans and the college kids marching are not saying what you fear they are, we might be able to get to a better place.

this is so hypocritical though. how did we get from obsession with “microaggressions” - like asking someone where they are from or making tacos while white - to having the responsibility to “understand” that a statement commonly known to mean “destroy Israel” doesn’t actually mean that.

It is known in your circles. It is not known in mine (and I am a completely uninvolved outsider). It is also not what is understood in dorm rooms where kids are passing around pictures of deal Palestinian kids and saying “we have to do something”.

huh ask yourself why they are passing around pictures of dead Palestinians and not dead Israeli children or dead Syrian children?

Why was my post about not showing up for dead American children deleted? Where were the all the parents of these students marching in 2012 when Sandy Hook happened?

You need to face the music. People have been angry for a long time about how much money our govt wastes propping up a belligerent theocratic "democracy," and this might be the straw the breaks the camel's back.

Right, US interests are totally served by letting Israel be destroyed

The state of Israel has resulted in nearly 7 decades of apartheid and oppression. Maybe it’s time for the US to stop giving it money and shielding it from the consequences of its actions on the world stage.

Look, many other states have failed and their people are fine. The third Reich was wiped off the face of the map and the German people have never been better. The USSR was wiped off the map and Russians are still invading other countries. The confederacy was wiped off the map and idiot Americans are thriving. If Israel is wiped off the map and Jews have to coexist in a democracy where everyone has a vote, they will be fine. And maybe they won’t have to build bomb shelters in their homes.

Bingo, this was so totally obvious before Israel even started airstrikes.

Sources please. I do not believe there are “professional agitators”. If there were, there would be job listings.

There are pictures of White House fence been scaled. I watched Brooklyn Bridge NYC protest on Citizen app showing people scaling Brooklyn Bridge and the statue on Union Sq with the Palestinian flags a-la French Revolution. Some protests are mellow and there are Jewish organizations participating as well. Some are a bit off the rails, but it all reminds me of the summer of BLM fur sure, masks included

And I’d add, to diffuse the “no to every compromise b/c we will be annihilated” hysterics, I’d support the U.S. leading a pledge of many nations to provide some large amount ($200B?) over that new state’s first 10 years to ensure that neither group is ever at risk of slaughter, being marginalized, etc.

Small groups sitting together on the ground with signs. One person telling others what to do and say. I saw this with my own eyes during BLM under the Brooklyn Bridge. And just a week ago in NYC. I recognize the voice of one of the women chanting during the protests. I don't need sources. Use your brain. Was BLM professionally organized? Their founder bought many millions worth of RE and then "retired". But the grift is still going on for other professional "activists". And someone is funding this all over the world. These aren't your "job listings" If you aren't an activist or belong to the organizations peddling this you won't know, it's not like this will be on Linked In And it's probably volunteer for the "street soldiers" until you rise in the ranks.

Easiest, laziest pathway to status quo, which obviously is far preferable to you than true democracy.
