She almost surely won’t post, at least not publicly. She’s clearly been getting advice to run as a generic Democrat in a mostly Democratic county. Play up her past experience at Chantilly, speak in generalities and platitudes, and promise nothing. That way, if she is elected and also delivers nothing for Dranesville, she won’t be accused of lying because the expectations will have been so low to begin with.

My local candidate has knocked on my door, done a couple of town halls, and answers emails. Personally, I don't see what running to DCUM to answer questions accomplishes since it is not focused on any one district and is polluted with the same loudest voices. It's the equivalent of a Reddit AMA.

I don't care for this candidate, but this thread devolved initially into attacks on what his one daughter needs and then into typical name calling and misinformation. It's a muddled, hot mess.

And on FB you claim that TJHSST’s ranking dropped because of “FCPS’s purposeful diminution of quality” at TJ. You do realize that the data used for this ranking occurred before the admissions change, right?

This is an excellent question. Why have none of the democrats made themselves available for questions from parents in FCPS?

Because they're cowards. They wouldn't be able to hold up to the intense questioning they'd receive - and we all know it.

My local candidate has knocked on my door, done a couple of town halls, and answers emails. Personally, I don't see what running to DCUM to answer questions accomplishes since it is not focused on any one district and is polluted with the same loudest voices. It's the equivalent of a Reddit AMA.

I don't care for this candidate, but this thread devolved initially into attacks on what his one daughter needs and then into typical name calling and misinformation. It's a muddled, hot mess.

Not how I would want my candidate spending his/her time.

It sounds like you are not in the Dranesville district, and although claim not to care about Paul, then, what are you doing commenting in his thread at 6 in the morning? 🤷‍♂️

One or more of the usual FCDC activists are no doubt posting here, even if they don't live in Dranesville. God forbid there should be any diversity of opinion on the next School Board.

It's frustrating, because most neither know nor care about the conditions in Dranesville schools, but that doesn't stop them.
