I have a related theory that a lot of younger people (50+) are already showing signs of mental decline of some sort but it’s not recognized. I am pretty sure half of our government is unfortunately unfit to govern (non partisan) just due to age mental decline |

You missed so many factors - people working longer hours, more office jobs, suburban sprawl + rise in house prices leading to longer commutes, people afraid to let their kids outside + electronics making inside more attractive, more schools that are not neighborhoods schools…. |
