My theory is that most teens would revert back to traditional sexuality at some point of their parents didn’t actively support and validate their gender and sexual orientation experiments.
Wrong! We fully supported our DD when she claimed she was gay, knowing full well she was not gay and knowing she would eventually discover her true sexuality. The goal is to support your child as they navigate their feelings and experiences.
How did you know this?
Because she always demonstrated she liked boys (writing secret love letters to them in elementary school; going gaga over a boy in 7th grade), until 8th grade, when she was maligned by a friend. After that, she said she was gay... until she started dating her boyfriend. Maybe she's bi, but she generally trended to being heterosexual.
