How does upholding the rule of law damage the United States?

It strengthens us and everything our nation stands for.

You are not “upholding the law”, dimwit. You are cheering on the destruction of a political enemy. You are terribly wrong if you think people are going to move on from this stuff. You are doing lasting damage to the confidence of a substantial portion of the population in the government and other institutions, all because you’re too brain dead to realize that the people on MSNBC telling you to be excited about this are themselves idiots.

If you break the law you face the consequences. He broke the law. And the feelings of a "substantial portion of the population" do not change that.

If he's not guilty, you have nothing to worry about. He'll be acquitted. Hell he might be acquitted even if he is guilty. This is Georgia.

No, moron. The prosecution alleges he broke the law. They have not proven that. If you had an IQ above room temperature, or any shred of intellectual honesty, you might get that.

Ya… but clearly you haven't read the indictment or you have no legal background. Trump is screwed and they are betting on the co-conspirator's turn, which they will.

No one is bringing an indictment against the former president unless they know they can't prove it at trial…they aren't approaching this like the idiot Republicans are approaching Hunter Biden.

Yeah, Dems would never do anything nefarious like maliciously spreading innuendo and investigating someone for years on end over made up collusion with Russia….

I think you just admitted that the Hunter Biden investigation is a nefarious and malicious investigation. That's a first step.

Yes our lying eye did not see J6. This is the end. Bet he flees the country.

I live near the Capitol and saw lots. You know who I didn’t see there? Donald Trump.

Well good thing he was not charged with being there then.

I didn't see Osama bin Laden fly a plane into the twin towers.

But you know what prosecutors have? Evidence of a less-than-perfect phone call to pressure Kemp to cheat and overturn the election results.

So you think, despite the facts of the case, these people should just be able to get away with trying to steal an election? I thought the GOP was the "law and order" party?

There are no “facts” of this case. It hasn’t been to trial. There are a bunch of “allegations.”

The indictment is chock full of facts. The trial is to determine whether a jury finds that these facts prove the crime beyond a reasonable doubt.

No, those aren’t facts for purposes of a legal proceeding. They are allegations.

Backed by evidence.

Right! Because you can’t commit a crime if you’re not there! I bet every single mafia don has that sewn on a pretty pillow.

You’re damn right you didn’t. He lied about his going there with his rally audience. You also didn’t see any statements from him, calling off his violently rioting supporters, for hours and hours on January 6th, because he didn’t want to — even when they were threatening to hang Mike Pence.

I'm cheering on the fact that criminal actions have consequences no matter who perpetrates them. I'm cheering on the fact that NO ONE is above the law including presidents and the powerful. Why do you people think Donald Trump gets a pass at committing crimes? I thought you were the party of law and order. Obviously not.

This is my problem with you braindead fools. Once upon a time, I was with you, but back then, innocent until proven guilty, civil liberties and common sense were still part of being a Democratic. You’re all so idiotic now that it pains me to think I was ever a part of this stupid shit.

Look, what you’re doing right now is understandable. You don’t like the feelings you’re currently experiencing, so you’re lashing out at the people around you (online). Therapy can help you identify and manage your emotions.

you should actually read the Mueller Report...all if it including the footnotes, and you should also read this:

https://www.intelligence.senate.gov/publications/report-select-committee-intelligence-united-states-senate-russian-active-measures

Particularly chapter 5....it was authored by the GOP in the senate in 2020.

If you actually read these two documents, written by republicans, you will not be saying "made up collusion with Russia" anymore.
