So you think, despite the facts of the case, these people should just be able to get away with trying to steal an election? I thought the GOP was the "law and order" party?

There are no “facts” of this case. It hasn’t been to trial. There are a bunch of “allegations.”

The indictment is chock full of facts. The trial is to determine whether a jury finds that these facts prove the crime beyond a reasonable doubt.

No, those aren’t facts for purposes of a legal proceeding. They are allegations.

Backed by evidence.

I gather you are not a lawyer….

How does upholding the rule of law damage the United States?

It strengthens us and everything our nation stands for.

You are not “upholding the law”, dimwit. You are cheering on the destruction of a political enemy. You are terribly wrong if you think people are going to move on from this stuff. You are doing lasting damage to the confidence of a substantial portion of the population in the government and other institutions, all because you’re too brain dead to realize that the people on MSNBC telling you to be excited about this are themselves idiots.

If you break the law you face the consequences. He broke the law. And the feelings of a "substantial portion of the population" do not change that.

If he's not guilty, you have nothing to worry about. He'll be acquitted. Hell he might be acquitted even if he is guilty. This is Georgia.

No, moron. The prosecution alleges he broke the law. They have not proven that. If you had an IQ above room temperature, or any shred of intellectual honesty, you might get that.

Ya… but clearly you haven't read the indictment or you have no legal background. Trump is screwed and they are betting on the co-conspirator's turn, which they will.

No one is bringing an indictment against the former president unless they know they can't prove it at trial…they aren't approaching this like the idiot Republicans are approaching Hunter Biden.

Yeah, Dems would never do anything nefarious like maliciously spreading innuendo and investigating someone for years on end over made up collusion with Russia….

you should actually read the Mueller Report...all if it including the footnotes, and you should also read this:

https://www.intelligence.senate.gov/publications/report-select-committee-intelligence-united-states-senate-russian-active-measures

Particularly chapter 5....it was authored by the GOP in the senate in 2020.

If you actually read these two documents, written by republicans, you will not be saying "made up collusion with Russia" anymore.

If I were a credulous moron, I would surely find it very persuasive.

Yes our lying eye did not see J6. This is the end. Bet he flees the country.

I live near the Capitol and saw lots. You know who I didn’t see there? Donald Trump.

He literally grabbed the steering wheel of the Beast to try to get there and the Secret Service refused to allow him. It wasn't for lack of trying.

Good result. The rapist is probably tweeting something that will revoke his bail. Surreal that a former POTUS has to post bond 4 times to remain free in society.

I'm cheering on the fact that criminal actions have consequences no matter who perpetrates them. I'm cheering on the fact that NO ONE is above the law including presidents and the powerful. Why do you people think Donald Trump gets a pass at committing crimes? I thought you were the party of law and order. Obviously not.

This is my problem with you braindead fools. Once upon a time, I was with you, but back then, innocent until proven guilty, civil liberties and common sense were still part of being a Democratic. You’re all so idiotic now that it pains me to think I was ever a part of this stupid shit.

And all of these people are alleged to be involved with a criminal conspiracy. That is what the indictments cover. They are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, which this document is the beginning of the process. You don't see anyone on TV saying they are guilty. They are all saying innocent until/unless proven guilty.

All his supporters know he's guilty even as they express their fake outrage. "Triggering the libs" is all they have in their lives at this point.

I just finished reading all 98 pages of the indictment. What a brilliantly and painstakingly crafted document! I can't wait to see what happens next. It's refreshing to imagine that nobody is above the law, but I'm still worried that Trump will get away with his crimes.

Maybe because we think Biden is also not a shining example of lawfulness. (Just as a ‘you too’ to all of the whataboutism present on any and all Biden family topics).

Good. I’ve not yet had a chance to read it and probably won’t until tomorrow, but I’m relieved (but not surprised) to hear that it’s well-drafted and substantive.

I think Trump is already paying for his crimes. I remain doubtful that he will end up in prison, but these indictments are clearly driving him nuts and living rent free in his head day and night.

It's not our fault that trump is an incompetent criminal as well as a rapist. But thank you for admitting that you're not stupid enough to really believe rapist trump's lies.
