Are you saying with a straight face Gonzaga is a better school educationally than Prep??? Seriously?? |
| I've noticed Ole Miss is wildly popular in this area (not just at Prep but other schools, too). What is so appealing about that particular school? Why the bump in popularity? |
PP here.I am just stating a fact. I was surprised as well . I’m mentioning Gonzaga as a comparison. Just look at their college matriculations this year. Several non athlete recruits going to Ivies and top 20 schools this year vs. barely any at Prep ( International students aside). Why would you think that was the case? |

You do realize that Gonzaga is a larger school and their report list is voluntary? I know several families from our church that are not reporting. Prep lists a group a day and everyone is included. Also the idea that an athletic recruit isn’t academic is baffling. My athletic child is a better student that most of their cohort. Weird also that you would be stalking who is an athletic recruit or not from Prep since they do not report that on the decisions list. Disappointed with the cattiness. Best of luck to seniors from all the area schools!

Because the South is welcoming to young men and women. Hard to go from a male positive environment to a male negative environment |
Well those Gonzaga Ivy admits are all legacy kids. (the Harvard, Cornell x 2, Princeton), Maybe the Prep parents did not attend the Ivies. |
Yes. It is factually better. |
Gonzaga is a stronger school and has a better reputation with the Ivies. Nobody wants Kavanaughs. |
Define "good college." You seem to be implying that it's only a top 20 school. If not, what is it? |
I love this. Full transparency. This should be the norm for all privates. |
NP here. I'd say any college in the top 75 or so is great/fantastic/impressive. |
Why should you have a right to information about where my kid is going to college? Fine if kids decide to post, but up to them. |
Don’t agree with this and Kavanaugh could have went to Gonzaga if he wanted to. |
Even if true, there are plenty of other very impressive admits that are neither legacy nor athletic. Gonzaga seems to have more room for the ordinary smart nerd. Love that my smart theater kid got into his first choice top 20 with no hooks. |
Give me a break. Even if true? It's true. Why are people so nuts with defending schools' college admits. These kids are legacy. Period. I'm sure they're still brilliant and great. But they got into Harvard and Princeton from Gonzaga because their parents went there. |
