But let’s not even compare Bullis to Sidwell. Most kids ( mine included) did not get in Sidwell and the top schools. It was a backup but my kid is happy and it ended well. It will never be Sidwell.

I do not believe this is a sincere post.

What isn't sincere? It is the truth for our family and others. It ended up being the perfect school. I have no complaints - other than tuition! But that would be anywhere, I am not a fan of the new head of the school. He is just blah, full of himself and not very bright.

Just stop.

People are entitled to their opinion. You may think he's a good head of school. We don't.

So bashing the HOS on an anonymous forum makes you cool? You probably don't even have a kid a Bullis.

Probably is inferior in the test prep category, but nothing else what so ever.

Part of Bullis’ success is in the alumni network. A Bullis alumni created The phenomenon “the white lotus,” which has received worldwide critical acclaim, as a game changer in the entertainment industry: https://www.bullis.org/news/article/~board/bullis/post/emmy-golden-globe-and-pga-winning-executive-producer-david-bernad-99-gives-back?fbclid=IwAR1mZQTZ5GhcF8tWOenYRx_Jna5F06f_kIEmTYRpScDm2lfq53nskbOhbDA

This is where Bullis grads are going to college. Many of the the Colleges are the best in the country/world.

Is Bullis the new Sidwell prestige-wise?

This is playing the same sh*t game of Big 3, Big 5, etc. We have a variety of strong private schools in the DMV. Smart kids go to all of them, even the ones that have learning centers. End of story.

Another Bullis family who isn’t the biggest fan of the new head. I see beneath the veneer and there are more than a few families who do as well. Our kids are happy and if it weren’t for the amazing teachers, we would have left.

Bullis should be proud of themselves for being different than the other schools and not compare themselves to others. Whoever the boosters on here are, you are actually going to push people away with this ridiculousness. We love the school, but this entire thread would act as a repellent if we were looking. Be proud of who we are as a community and show people how beautiful and diverse our community is!

There are definitely a fair of number of families who don’t care for the head. And a very significant number of teachers and staff. Doesn’t mean they are leaving but he is not a beloved or well-respected head on the inside.

What is wrong with him? Or allegedly wrong with him?

I don’t want to bash him but my DD who is a senior thinks he is not nice to certain kids. She isn’t overly bothered by it because she doesn’t have to deal with him. She said it has something to do with comments about bodies and the uniforms. I don’t know him at all. Just the wave at drop off. I’ve never said two words to him. We liked the school but so happy for it to be over! Happy with the colleges she got in and do not attribute that to the school in any way.

I have no dog in this fight--my kids don't go to either Sidwell or Bullis. However, a friend who works at another private school (not Sidwell) hinted that this whole thread was created internally there to distract from a negative post about her school. And it worked!

Not surprised at all.

What do you mean? Distract from what? Are you saying someone affiliated with Bullis started this thread? It looks like a Bullis booster posted to post about college acceptances.

The way I read that post is that a third school (not Bullis or Sidwell) started this thread.

This makes sense. That juicy subject line...
