Warning for those looking for a contractor

I wonder if the GRIP supercar events crew knew about the money being moved around by Amr Omar Elrahimy of Optimum Construction? I wonder if the sponsors know about the 7 and counting felony charges against Amr Omar Elrahimy? I hope they do so they don't suffer the fate that many of us have....

I think you know the answer. Optimum wrote contract after contract without notifying anyone of it's financial "issues" it was stating to existing customers. Grip's next event, May 7, is at the Clarksburg Premium Outlets. Do you really think they would have done a deal with Grip if he told them of his Optimum Construction and Personal Bankruptcy as well as the seven felony charges (innocent until proven guilty of course). Clarksburg Premium Outlets are owned by Simon, a huge company with lawyers, do you think they would have allowed the association? Could be wrong, but I doubt it.

It would be a real shame if GRIP supercar events sponsors read any of this. I guess it will all come to the surface since Amr Elrahimy is facing 7 and counting felony charges here in Maryland so let's see him argue out of this one.

You are giving Omar way too much credit. Sponsors? Take a real look at the "sponsors": a landscaper, a wheel repair guy, a few car clubs, and what appears to be a non-profit run by a teenage girl (creepy). Then you have Euro Motorcars of Germantown (Omar purchased two Mercedes there as "business" vehicles) and a company that provides track insurance. Oh, and DTC, which is a solid organization with a good cause, but due to the passing of the organizer I suspect they are not aware he lists them as a sponsor. Thus, non of these are real sponsors - spending $$. I suspect management at Euro Motorcars of Germantown does not know they are a sponsor. If you want to know for sure, give them a call and ask what their affiliation with Grip and Omar Elrahimy is. If it is real, then don't go there.

When is the next session…what’s next?

Does anyone have an inkling what happened to all the money?

The big news was the attendance and ACTIVE engagement by a DOJ attorney (she was sharp!). From what I have heard, if DOJ attorney engages it is a sign things are getting real. Not your ordinary bankruptcy anymore.

So what’s next??

So I think we’ve all asked even the trustees as to, and I quote “where did the money go?” Maybe we need to ask in his language for him to understand

Thank you for sharing and I would never have thought to check. That was nice of you to share and I'm so sorry you went through that. Not that it helps, but we all have in one way or another. Stinks that there are bad eggs out there.

Yes things just got real when the DOJ is at your bankruptcy case, but keeping working for GoPro and supposedly “not get paid” and collecting on the things that you have sold….

Yes, this was asked multiple times by individuals and attorneys. Omar Elrahimy's answer to this question was a consistent "I invoke my fifth amendment right to not incriminate myself". Don't think Omar needs to worry about incriminating himself. If accurate, it appears there are employees willing to step up and do that now - that is what I heard on the call today. Good luck Omar...(not really)

So I always thought Amr Elrahimy squandered our money on GRIP supercar events (and he claims he's only made 5-6k off of it) but then it was revealed that he tried to start an air bnb in Dubai... freaking Dubai. Thats where all our money went because to court them you gotta put up cash and wave it around like you can party with them. I hate to use words like scam or thief but after hearing that he is totally a thief that blew our money on a gamble. He wasn't happy with making millions in construction, he wanted to be a world traveling race car owner so I really, really hope he rots. Amr elrahimy has hurt so many people for greed and if he's a religious man I hope he realizes he's going to hell for whats he done.
