He is currently nominating McCarthy for the third round.

Seems to be part of their weird game. Last round, Gym Jordan nominated McCarthy, and the 19 voted for Jordan.

Last time this happened it went 9 rounds, so they'll keep going until they chip away at those 19 anti-voters, or until enough Democrats get sick of this and go home, shifting the majority low enough for McCarthy to win.

Why would the Democrats get sick of it? For them it's a comedy show. It's the Republicans who keep failing and being humiliated. I can see Republicans as far more likely to be demoralized by all of this.

They have no moral core or principles. They don’t care about public opinion. Why would they be demoralized?

Well. I’m not politically astute, but I don’t see what the gop end game is here.

To be demoralized they'd have to want to do their jobs. They really don't.

I'm on the edge of my seat on who they'll try to run for the third round.

Like the nationally reknown former HS wrestling coach, Denny Hastert?

The are trying to outlast Dems, lower the threshold. MAGA gets to vote JJ or another crazy and Kevin gets to be speaker. But Dems are empowered by close election and will stay united.
