Jamie Foxx

His right leg was propped up I noticed and not moving. Odd way to sit on a boat.

One PP clearly has a history of either dealing with stroke victims or has direct experience and therefore seems to be projecting or educating us all ….perhaps both…..the other PP’s I suspect like myself are shocked that Jamie would get on a boat, go out and play golf and tweet about it without so much as a word to his fans. It’s weird, a bit rude and causes unnecessary speculation. There’s been so much of that and some of it is because they didn’t say anything. People have been waiting and praying for his recovery for months. To get out and say nothing is strange. I hope he gets a new PR team because he can address his fans/thank them for their concern without sharing his personal medical history.

Really? I think his “fans” will demand more and more, regardless of whether the information is personal, until they consume him and his family and them move on to their next celebrity victim. I don’t blame him for trying to protect himself from them (you).

Nope. Not getting pulled in to your drama but thank you for your response. You go on and have a great day.

“ the other PP’s I suspect like myself are shocked that Jamie would get on a boat, go out and play golf and tweet about it without so much as a word to his fans”

His shocked fans need to quit the drama and get a life and let him go out on a boat with family and friends and live his.

It’s not unreasonable that people are wanting an update from Jamie and not TMZ.

Do you even hear yourself anymore? He doesn’t owe you. You and he are strangers.

Gasp!! Thank you so much for the enlightenment! You are such a wise person. 🤣

OMG, his mobility is fine. Just stop.

This is really weird. A grainy video and the P.R. boat thing spammed everywhere to "prove" he's fine? Yeah, sure....

Not the PP here, but you really need to internalize that message. Obviously whatever the hell is or was wrong with him is something he's going to keep secret, so get over it. Doesn't affect you one iota.

For all we know his publicist devised this strategy of keeping his name in the paps by creating a tantalizing mystery for the peanut gallery. Here we are chattering about it just like his publicity team wants. 😂 I for one am going to quit speculating.

That video of him getting in and out of the car is pretty definitive proof that he has made huge leaps in his recovery, and he is mobile. That does not mean he does not have a long road ahead of him - he may be in continued rehab for memory, cognition, speech, etc.

Check out the thread on Tatum O’Neill - she had a stroke and was in a coma for a long time, and is doing very well now, but still dealing with lingering effects. It can take time.

You sound like you are wishing and hoping he's unwell. That was a fan-recorded video that was uploaded to social media and widely shared; not someone on a mission to prove that he's well or not well. If you don't like Jamie Foxx that's fair, but I see no reason to be rooting for him to be in bad shape.

whew. Y'all are exhausting.

He doesn't owe anyone a thank you? For anyone who thinks he does, he doesn't know you or know that you prayed or wished him well. Geesh.

Who said it wasn’t him on the boat? Lol. Who else would it be?

I’m both posters. The lol… who else would it be on the boat poster and 13:13. Perhaps I wasn’t clear in my 13:3 post. I find it odd/rude that he didn’t address his fans to say thank you. I think it leads to speculation. I’m not speculating anything! I have read crazy things, but I am not team tin hat! I’m just stating that he needs a new PR team because to go on with life and not address the past two months without so much as a “thank you” PR statement is odd and frankly not very kind. Rather he tweets about being on a boat. It goes against what we have seen from Jamie in the past. I am happy and very thankful he’s doing better but hope that he will send out a message of thanks to those who have been praying for him and concerned for him for the past two months.

He only needs to thank his family, friends and healthcare provider

A thoughtful post. PP. Someone here thinks posters are wishing Fox ill and that's not the case. Some of us like you, PP, and I are just noting that people need to realize stroke recovery can be a lifetime of recovery and we have no way to know his situation. If he's mobile to any degree, that's good. But we cannot possibly know what his full condition is like, so people saying he's "recovered" in the past tense, or "fine," are misleading themselves and others. We can celebrate small milestones he chooses to show but shouldn't add to the common misconceptions that stroke recovery looks like "just the same as before."

My spouse works in the stroke/traumatic brain injury field, and a couple of actors I follow have survived strokes (including massive stroke), so realistic positivity is something I think people need to learn about stroke recovery. It's not wishing someone ill to be realistic about what happens to them. I do rather wish that if this IS stroke--since NO one in his camp has ever confirmed that, we're just assuming it now -- his people would say the word out loud. It helps take away stigma and create awareness when prominent people say it out loud. But I think his people are so afraid it will mean he'll be negatively labled and won't work again if they come out and discuss it. Their choice, of course, and he owes no one anything! But advocacy, when and if he's ever ready, could help others.

That...was your only takeaway from my post? Okay, then. Poster, singular. Didn't realize that was THE real issue here.
