Classy group of folks. Do you honestly think stalking a public official will change his/her interpretation of the law? Oh, well! I could not eat in peace? Well, okay then - abortion is great! |

Alexandra Petri satire:
Opinion: Sorry, but the Constitution contains no right to eat dinner https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2022/07/08/brett-kavanaugh-dinner-steakhouse-mortons-protest-satire/ The right to congregate and eat dinner is actually not to be found anywhere in the Constitution. I have been studying the Constitution very carefully, including the emanations of the penumbras, and I can see why people might think there was some inherent right to dinner. Eating seems so fundamental: Whether or not you want to have steak inside yourself seems like something you ought to be able to determine on your own behalf. Eating and chewing, alone or in the company of others, feels as though it ought to be up to the person most affected, and protected from abridgment of any kind, even by the states. |
| Now I know never to eat at Morton’s. |
I dunno. Lots of people think that screaming at women and girls seeking health care might intimidate them into changing their minds. Well, ok, then — I’ll have my rapist’s baby. Shared custody with an abuser is great! So, it might be worth a try. And how did you make the leap from protesting to “stalking”? |
Republican jurists have been very clear that screaming at people is protected constitutional speech. |
DP. I guess you didn't see the tweet from Shut Down DC. Classic stalking. No worries, though. We'll do our part too. I may just be a "DC Industry Worker" who has multiple sightings of these conservative Justices. Even though I live nowhere near DC. Time to flood their site. With sighting after sighting after sighting. |
Thank you for sharing with us as the majority of Americans agree that women having a right to a safe abortion is, indeed, a great thing. |
It isn't hyperbole to a woman who needs an abortion. It isn't hyperbole in Uvalde, Buffalo, Highland Park and do many other places. All Republicans have blood in their hands. |
PP you replied to. I was speaking from a moral point of view. Just because lowlifes do terrible things, it doesn't mean I must dirty my conscience by going down to their level. But as long as it's not illegal, you go ahead and do whatever you want. |
THIS + 1 MILIION |
| Where is everybody getting the idea that there are ongoing protests at Kavanaugh's house? I live near him and sometimes drive up the street by his house and still haven't seen any protestors. There are lots of yard signs from Chevy Chase for Choice which I was so gratified to see, but he seems to be able to enjoy plenty of peace and quiet. There is so much hyperbole about what the justices are enduring it would be laughable if those five liars weren't so busy dragging us all back to the 16th century. What a bunch of whiners. |
DP. Are you unable to read? "Activists are now offering a $200 bounty on the location of any justice." |
Yep. "Hypocrites" doesn't even begin to describe these people. I happen to be pro-choice, but this behavior is sickening. Were there conservative activists targeting justices' homes back in 1973 when Roe came into existence? No. Why are liberal activists such complete loons? |
You sure do. Astounding that you're proud of that behavior, but you do you. DP |
I may just join you. I feel like I might spot the justices in South Jersey, or perhaps somewhere in WV. I'm sure those activists would enjoy a nice road trip. |
