Are you kidding me? Alito is not going anywhere. Those guys now have a majority of 5 for radical right ideas and often a majority of 6. For conservatives, this is a powerful court and Alito is there to stay to exercise that power. Especially with a Dem president (which will still be the case after the midterms), SCOTUS is the only power conservatives have now and Alito is down for it.

It has long been rumored that Alito would like to retire to a law firm and sock away a few million and retire in comfort. He's 73 so he needs to act fast. He and Thomas have the next term to dismantle the Constitution.

Note that I said if the GOP has a majority after mid term election. McConnell will play dirty tricks again and Biden's choice would be another Garland.

I love it when anonymous DCUM posters pretend they actually have some kind of inside Washington track that no one else has. Give us all a break. The only rumors are the ones you’re trying to start. Either provide a link for your claims or shut it.
DP

What pp said sounds pretty sound. You think they all want to die on the court?

Oh, please. “Pretty sound”? I guess you believe all the claims that start with, “It’s long been rumored,” or “I’ve heard…”. As long as it fits your narrative, that is.
DP

So they are looking forward to dying at the hands of a crazy man with a gun? Really? Because that's what it's looking like right now.

It's hard to watch a Clarence and a treasonous Ginny strutting about without fear of consequences. It's hard to read Alito citing such racist and misogynist texts upon which to base his decision and writing about women in such a degrading manner.

But this is their job. They should not be disturbed at their home.

Totally agree. If you believe in rule of law (and we do, don't we?), you can't be okay with vigilante justice against a public official. You just can't.

Nonviolent protests in front of their homes is not vigilante justice.

Alito is having too much fun reinventing the Constitution in the name of “originalidm” and is eagerly looking forward to gutting our democracy next term.

I am not sure many law firms would have an interest in Alito. I am not sure how a law firm would benefit from his presence.

It's also the job of health care providers to deliver services, including abortions, at reproductive health centers, but SCOTUS ruled that anti-choice protesters can get right up in their faces as well as that of clients and scream their heads off (great in COVID). Anti-choice folks doxx these staff, including their children.

Chucking concealed carry and absolving drivers from prosecution if they run over protesters jeopardizes my 1A rights to speak openly. The justices are now realizing that there may also be consequences for their opinions, just like the rest of us.

Agree. Vigilante justice is passing laws that allow drivers to run over protesters. That's textbook definition of vigilante.

Great! Remember that when/if there are nonviolent protests in front of liberal justices' homes.

It's astounding how you spin this into Alito "reinventing the Constitution," rather than simply sending the issue of abortion back to the states. There's nothing in the Constitution about abortion, and I'm pro-choice! Get a clue.

What is good for the goose s good for the gander. The Republicans on the Supreme Court have blood on their hands for increasing gun rights + enslaving women. Now they want to cry about their rights while depriving others of theirs.

Hoo boy... "blood on their hands," "enslaving women." You guys certainly excel at hyperbole.

I look forward to that day because liberals would have the majority. Much better than the conservative dystopia we have now.

Kavanaugh had to leave by back door while dining at Morton's Steaks because of demonstrations at front. Poor whittle beer guzzler. Owner or manager was upset. I don't think he realizes that women generally choose the restaurant. Boycott Morton's and all restaurants that serve these six justices.

Try this with purported liberal Justices and you'll have Merrick Garland breathing down your neck.
Or, at the very least... a pre-dawn raid with CNN in tow.

And, of course.... Twitter allows this targeted harassment.

Wow. I don’t really mind since he lied during his confirmation hearing. The judges who lied should be impeached. I was dining in Chevy Chase and heard protests, I’m assuming a judge’s home was close by.
