HAHAHAHAHA, so now you will have politicians telling you that your 13yr rape victim daugher must stay pregnant or cannot have an abortion if her waters break at 16 weeks until she goes into sepsy. or that she cannot use contraceptive (yes they are coming for those too in case you have not noticed) |
Well then I hope you or your family members don’t have lupus or other autoimmune diseases: see below NoVa woman denied refill of a drug of her treatment against lupus because it is considered an abortifacient. Let’s see what Younkgin does about it. But thank God your kid can now go to school without a mask, like kids in Md and DC https://www.newsweek.com/anger-woman-denied-abortifacient-medication-roe-v-wade-abortion-1721428 |
I think I know the real reason, but I suspect your answer is different than mine. Give us a hint. |
For some reason, believing what Republican politicians say makes you obtuse |
Abortion has disproportionately killed more black and brown women, and black and brown men. |
And for no reason, you are just obtuse. |
Who was the last one they sent? |
In 2016, Bill Weld was running for VP of Libertarians, but was supporting Hillary. |
They did. It's why they issued statements about how advanced math isn't being eliminated, tracking will still be an option. They passed a law that schools would be open. |
| Could PP explain what the abortion wars are really about? Honest question, I’m sorry I don’t know but would like to be informed. |
It wasn't that long ago, where the Supreme Court, particularly John Roberts, twisted himself into a pretzel to strike down a law requiring abortion doctors have admitting privileges at a local hospital for woman who need to go to ER after complications from an abortion. It is a bit of a stretch to expect people to follow the details of Supreme Court cases on abortion and connect dots while voting for a governor. On top of that, Youngkin made some claims of being moderate on abortion, while telling supporters he was not. So now you are expecting even more from pro-choicers. On top of that, any law has to pass through the state legislature, and this was majority D in both chambers at the time, and still is majority D Senate. Not sure if the abortion issue cuts across party lines in Virginia, but there is more reason to expect anything to change with regards to abortion based on vote for governor. Indeed it is not clear that any restrictions on abortion will pass in Virginia. Will they even undo the laws passed under the previous governor? |
Youngkin had to pass an executive order, and several counties resisted. They would still be masked if it wasn't for Chap Peterson not letting a slim D majority in the Senate block the governor. |
They probably would have closed schools again under McAuliffe. There were posters on this forum complaining that cases were at an all time record in Fairfax and Loudoun in May. |

As someone who is a detail person, I'm tired of hearing the word "Roe" so often when the decision that came down was "Dobbs".
Dobbs. It would be nice if Congress made one national standard, its in their power. But here's the thing....for someone advocating changing the Senate rules to eliminate the 60 vote cloture rule....its a trap. Its a trap because no majority is permanent, and the next time there is a republican house, senate, and president, in 4, 8, 12 or 20 years....you'll see the same tool used in reverse. The whipsaw would be intense and to nobody's benefit. |
| Wish I lived in VA so I could vote for him. |
