Preachy? It’s satire.

It’s satire leaning so far left it’s falling over. To anyone else it’s preachy.

Is it really leaning left though? Seems pretty dead on.

Except it goes after the left. Hello! They even show the president with Clinton, they make fun of Michigan state, tech moguls look like cartoons, it supports the military

Exactly. It was a environmental satire that took everyone to task. The clueless celebrities, in denial liberal media who only wants ratings, the politicians whose only goal is their political agenda and getting re-elected. The general population who were too engrossed in their smart phones to look up when you could clearly see the comedy.

This wasn't a Dem or Rep satire as some clueless people on here think, or wish...lol

"comedy" meant "comet"

Yeah fine you can see a comet.
You can see weather and ocean cycles and droughts and fires too throughout 5000 years of recorded history. Or the two ice ages. Get the farmers and commodity weather cycle PhDs that weather variance is climate change and maybe you can make a difference.
Meanwhile my PhD was on Iran regime change and guess what? It coincided with droughts each time and those droughts coincided with changes in the ocean occipital cycle changing. China is another fascinating case. Bad weather causing issues then social unrest then regime change. Every 50-100 years.

We were LmAO at it. It played both sides well but then went all in on tanking the left with its political power in bed with Tech moguls power and being so self absorbed and fixated they can’t even tell a carnivore is going to eat them because their iPhone software didn’t tell them. Zero survival skills there beyond manipulation and politics.

Agree. He plays himself - a big fat obnoxious dumb fool - in everything he’s ever done.

I don’t know who his mom or dad or money is that he even gets cast, but it must be really something. Like does he out money in to the movie in order to write in himself and act it?

I was kind of wondering what Timothee Chalamet was doing in it until the table scene, and wow.

Meryl Streep continues to amaze as does Cate Blanchett. But the entire cast was great.

Good eye. The dumb evangelist who hates the establishment role… for the win.

The bigger point it was trying to make is that the media circus keeps us from confronting a deadly threat. Both right and left politicians are bought and sold when they should be focused on stopping a threat to all people.

Great he was a good sport about it.

The MAGAs in our family would have gotten all grumpy and complained that it was a terrible movie.

The beauty of the movie is that you don’t see the other side. Which is exactly what you’ve proven in your comment.

What or who was trump bought by? China? Software companies? High tax states? The UN? Middle class whites were paying him off to do something? What did trump get out of it in terms of “being bought or owned?”

Bernie and trump had more in common than you think.

I liked him playing a nerd. Good acting.
But then halfway through he suddenly could speak, dressed well and was cool. And acted like his usual roles. Lost the accent too.

I thought it was a waste of two hours of my life. It was highly recommended to me, so I kept watching expecting it to get better.

Gosh what a terrifying film. People saying that it’s a bore are part of the problem!

It was recommended to me so many times, seemed like everyone is talking about it. So we watched it. Brilliant and hilarious and scary at the same time. Loved Ariana Grande's satire of herself.

This is so dramatic. People are allowed to dislike movies you like.
