Yea his role was too large. Cate is so gorgeous.

I didn’t recognize until halfway through. Wow!

I find Jennifer Lawrence unbearable so I wasn't sure I could watch this?? Is she believable as an astronomer or will I spend the whole movie thinking that's Jennifer Lawrence pretending to be an astronomer?

The table scene reminded me of a Canadian movie, Last Night. Its about how a handful of characters decide to spend the final hours before our sun blows up. The ending with two strangers, Don McKellar and Sandra Oh was poignant. How their plan changes in the end.

I thought they were playing him and Melanie Lynskey older than they were. Their sons seemed full adults in the movie. Lynskey has a toddler in real life.

+1

So funny. “I don’t want to get political [about science].”

I’m guessing that the MAGAs won’t like the movie much.

I was wondering why the Rotten Tomato viewer ratings weren’t higher, and DH thought it was because of Trumpers not liking it.

Haha. Probably.

It’s not good as a disaster movie.

We enjoyed it, but I admit I thought it was going to be better. It was very funny - but felt like a lot of the funny parts were in the trailer.

I did not recognize her until about an hour into the movie. I kept wondering when Cate was going to show up.

Way better and more frightening than I expected, I guess because I could see this happening.

I was pleasantly surprised.

I had a hard time watching it. Not because it wasn’t good, but just the gravity of the situation and scene.
