Charlotte is surprisingly my favorite this season, followed by Seema. |
She’s on track for many people that are separated/divorcing and have no idea how to function as a single person. I really like the way Che redirected her in the stairwell scene. It made Che slightly less one dimensional, and Miranda gained some sense of self. The shrieking WAS annoying though. She - Miranda- is in an awkward adolescence and that is difficult to watch. It’s a messy storyline but it seems like it’s being fleshed out a bit more now. |
Did you notice that they had Steve less hard of hearing in this episode? As if he were more engaged in his life than complacent to miss details (hearing aids not in/on). It was subtle but noticeable. His scenes were sad to me, but he was more present too. It was the first time he seemed like himself this season instead of a caricature. Which is interesting as previous scenes were solely with Miranda, and how she was experiencing him/their relationship. |
The Las Culturistas episode with Fran Tirado had some good takes

I feel the same way, also surprised! I like Carrie better than I used to though. Her interaction with the teacher was sweet. |
The club owner Seema was flirting with in Brooklyn was Carrie’s Prada salesman friend when she bought Berger that shirt. Do you think they will just ignore that and have him as a new character? This may be where it ends, but this kind of thing makes me curious. |
I think they'll just ignore it (Justin Theroux played two different characters in the series, too). I recognized William Abadie from Emily in Paris, had forgotten about the Prada salesman character. Good catch! |
He and Seema would be a sexy couple, but I'm getting potential "Richard and Samantha" vibes too. |
Have you ever seen how much the law and order franchises reuse actors as different characters? No, I don’t think this will a be a thing |
He was also in Emily in Paris, which is Darren Star too. He does seem like a potential Dick/Richard. I think she’ll need a good guy to settle down with. But you can’t marry everyone off right away. I do hope we’re in for a few more seasons. The part where Charlotte helped lily learn how to use a tampon was pretty hilarious to me. |
I noticed this too. I really liked this episode- I felt like the scene where he asked Carrie about when this started were real. The scenes with Charlotte and Lily were funny. One quiffle-- did Carrier seriously wear 4 inch high silver platform shoes to paint in? I would have seriously rolled my eyes at her in real life. |
I felt like they had been making Steve seem too old with the crotchety old man stuff – the most recent episode was much better. Miranda is ridiculous. |
Steve looked good! |
I thought Anthony had great lines this episode-- between "I don't pay these guys enough" and "GET OUT!!!!" (the latter to his date who said the Holocaust was a hoax."
|
I used to find Anthony annoying, now I love him! |
