Also, I have no idea if Brandon is a kind, loving, sweetheart or a code-red, stage 5, a**hole. But the fact that Jen really, really, REALLY wants us all to hate him makes me NOT want to hate him.

Rachel said Jackson gave her permission to tell it on her latest podcast. I personally didn't listen to it, but saw some comments that she'd noted there was some family opposition. Dave has not commented. Floods of comments in her IG post were hateful about it.
Which one of Heidi's ex-husbands is bi?

I have such mixed feelings. Jackson comes across as an absolute sweetheart of a kid and just an all round kind soul I hope he didn't allow her to share just to be a people pleaser. Also, can a teen under 18 truly consent and understand this will be all over the net? on the other hand I am glad she supports him. I will be livid if David doesn't (and I don't know them), but I would think he would. I hope this young person is surrounded by love and support. I have to say, no I don't know them, but the Hollis kids all seem awesome. The other teen seems like a goofy, sweet jock and the girl is adorable, assertive and full of spunk. I feel so protective of Jackson because he reminds me of a friend from college who is the most awesome guy out there. He went through a lot of heartbreak coming out and navigating the male singles scene, but he did find true love.

I completely agree with you about Jackson. Also, the comments on her post from the hard Christian followers were absolutely vile and vitriolic.

It is not. Lots of parents love having a gay kid. It’s the highest form of virtue signaling/mom humblebrag. Or a trans kid even tho every study shows that for the majority of kids it’s a phase and they may be irreparably damaging them by encouraging it. I see it among acquaintances just as often as among “influencers”. Breaks my heart every time. Remember the days when kids were off limits? Can we please go back to those days?

Why would you ever subject your child to that? You know they read them. That can screw a kid up for life.

I knew nothing about Rachel Hollis until this thread. Now after looking up her son, my heart hurts for him. He’s such a sweet kid, and so young to have his deeply personal info put out into the universe. Where is the natural protective maternal instinct?
